This eco-friendly 5 acre property is totally off grid. The separate bathroom has solar lighting, a solar heated shower, and a compost toilet. There is also an outside solar shower on the premises and additional outhouse with toilet.
People from all backgrounds are welcome as our guests. We want to share our natural space with you.
An ECO-GLAMPING YURT ADVENTURE
Sleeping in a round yurt is a unique experience This 5 acre property is totally off grid which means no electricity or plumbing on premises. We have a yurt that can sleep up to 6 people, a full bathroom with a compost toilet and solar shower located close to the yurt, and a well equipped kitchen in another outbuilding. There is also a cabin where the owners reside part time.
Nessquinella is located in Northern Colorado just 12 miles from Loveland to Drake on hwy 34, and then 2 miles up Storm Mountain Dr. off of hwy 43. There is no cell phone coverage, so printing out directions is recommended since there is no GPS up the Big Thompson Canyon. There is a basic phone in the yurt with free long distance usage. The land is 2 miles up Storm Mountain Dr. which is mostly a dirt road with switchbacks that lead to a beautiful mountain scene at 7,300 feet. The driveway down to the yurt requires a vehicle with high clearance.
The yurt has 3 comfortable double-size beds with clean bedding, plenty of pillows and extra warm blankets. There is also a propane heater if you need to warm up on a cool night. There is one solar light that illuminates the yurt, and 3 book lights available for reading. We have a cabinet for backpacks and equipment. We provide a cooler with a large bag of ice, and a 5-gal container of water. The kitchen has a 2-burner stove, sink, and all the equipment you need to cook and clean up. There is also a 5-gal container of water available for the kitchen. We use a rain barrel for showers, so it is important that you are frugal with water usage. It is necessary to conserve all resources since they are brought in from outside the property and are limited. Our goal at Nessquinella is to be mindful of our footprint and grateful for our limited resources. The town of Estes Park, (15 miles west) has a Safeway store to restock your needed supplies and restaurants to eat at. There is also Wifi and cell service once you arrive in Estes Park.
I will be there when you check in to go over everything with you as well as available by phone 24 hours a day. There is a landline phone in the yurt.
Check in is after 3:00 pm, but if you could let me know your estimated time of arrival that would be helpful.
I may be staying in the cabin if your arrival is late in the evening, but would leave in the morning.
There is no WIFI or cell service on the property. Your GPS will not work, so I recommend you print out the directions.
- I have neighbors so quiet time is from 10:00pm until 8:00 am. Absolutely no campfires! You may not have food in yurt or your car due to bear safety.
- No parties please only reserved guests on property.
