You are welcome to stay with us in a cosy private room in our renovated house near the city centre. I live here together with my boyfriend Lorenz and his two younger brothers who are still studying. In the summer it's most of the time just the two of us and we would love to have some guests over so we can show them our beautiful city! After some good experiences with Airbnb, we would love to welcome guests of our own :).
Our house is recently renovated and has a lot of things to offer!
Your private room is located in the attic on the third floor. It has two windows (with blinds) which let in a lot of light during the day. There is a little living area with a couch and cable tv. The bed consists of two identical mattresses stuck together by the bed sheet. The mattresses are really thick and comfortable, just like the cushions.
The living room, dining area and kitchen are all connected, which gives you an open feeling. Our kitchen has a cooking island with an oven and a dishwasher. You can use all our kitchen utensils and bake or cooke whatever you want. We even have a blender and juice-maker for the healthy people :). In the living room we have cable tv, a gas fireplace, a stereo which you can connect with your phone and a bookcase full of books (mostly in Dutch), board games and some dvd's. There is also a terrace where you can enjoy some fresh air or smoke. On the ground floor we also have a separate toilet. The bathroom is located on the first floor. It has a bath, two sinks, a toilet and a shower with a normal and rain shower head.
You have access to your own private room and the shared living room, terrace, bathroom and kitchen. The private room is reachable through our dressing room. You can close the door of the dressing room and when you are staying with us, we will make sure that we will barely be in the dressing room :). You can also use our dressing room to store your clothes.
My boyfriend, Lorenz, and i work during the day on weekdays. When we are free in the evening and in the weekend we would love to show you around in Ghent, have some drinks, play a board game, cook together, go to a free concert (which Ghent has plenty), visit a museum,... If we don't have a lot of time or you want to be more by yourself, then we can just give you some useful tips :). We know a lot of great spots (for food, drinks, sightseeing,...) off the tourist track!
Hi, my name is Justine. I'm 25 years old and living in the amazing city Ghent. I graduated as a historian and am currently working for Ghent Festival of Flanders. My friends would probably say that i'm expressive, quirky, honest, empathising, enthusiastic and friendly. I live together with my boyfriend, Lorenz, who is also a historian and a really social and open person. His two younger brothers are still students and live here also.
My boyfriend and i love to travel and in October we leave for a 6 month Asia trip starting in China. These are some of our other interests: Meeting interesting and honest people, history, culture, (contemporary) art, good food, almost all types of music, wine and beer, (summer)festivals, hiking, dogs!, camping, scouting, photography, authentic places, coffee, tea, yoga, smoothies, long-boarding, running,...
