Mountain Glory is a unique property that offers adventure, solitude, relaxation and serenity. A great place for family time, a private get-away with your sweetheart or your own mountain for a family friendly group vacation. It’s the perfect spot for a West Virginia mountain experience. You’re going to want to return again and again.
We are situated on a private 12-acre lot high on Briarpatch Mountain in quiet Harman, WV. Our driveway requires you to have ALL WHEEL DRIVE in the summer months and a 4WD in the winter months and some GUTS. No Guts, No Glory! Hence the name Mountain Glory. You’ll be telling your friends about it. Chains are required in winter weather. Seriously, get ready for a really cool (but steep) mountain driveway. Arriving to our beautiful cabin is half the fun and it’s so worth it.
Mountain Glory offers sleeping for up to 14 with 4 Bedrooms, plus private den with sofa bed, 4 Full Baths. With bedrooms on all three floors, this cabin is a great spot for multi-family to spread out. Mountain Glory is also the perfect spot for a smaller group or couple, offering your choice of two Master Suites with privacy.

We have 4 full baths, 1 upstairs, 1 on main floor and 2 in basement, to accommodate a group comfortably.
NO KEYS! You will be given a code for the keyless entry system for ease of use! This is your personal code during your stay. You can select code so you remember. This allows you to go directly to the cabin versus the rental office for keys.
EAT, DRINK & BE MERRY
Mountain Glory has two refrigerators and two kitchen areas so you can stock up and store lots of stuff! This is a remote cabin, drive to closest grocery store is 25 minutes one way, so plan ahead with a grocery stop prior to arriving or plan to bring some starter food or stop at Cooper’s in town and then take a trip to grocery store. Cooper’s Country Store in Harman is a well-stocked (food, supplies, wine and beer) small market for starters. They also have pizzas, subs, ice cream, you can walk-in or call ahead and pick-up. They are your closest resource. They provide replacement propane tanks for the grill should you need it, just let them know you are staying at Mountain Glory and they’ll put it on our tab. They are typically open from 7am – 7pm but may have seasonal hours. (URL HIDDEN) Shop N’ Save in Davis, WV is your best bet for groceries if you are coming in from the North via Route 48. They carry everything you need, including beer & wine, walking sticks, books, fixings for ‘smores. They are located at 371 Williams Avenue, Davis, WV 26260. They are open from 8am – 9pm.
You will find other store options in the towns of Elkins, Petersburg and Parsons.
WE LOVE DOGS
But only if they are well-mannered. Please bring your mannerly pup and enjoy your trip with them by your side, don’t let them roam far from the cabin. There are dogs who live at cabin above ours, you might hear them welcome you with some friendly barks.

Visit Canaan Valley State Park and Ski & Golf Resort, Dolly Sods Wilderness, Seneca Rocks, Blackwater Falls State Park, Allegheny Highlands Trail, Blackwater Canyon Rail Trail, Greenbank Telescope, Cass Railroad. Visit the artsy and musical town of Thomas (The Purple Fiddle is the best!) or go mountain biking (rent from Blackwater Bikes) from Davis. Take your pick of several local breweries in the area.

_____ CHECK-IN: You may check in at the Mountain Top Realty & Rentals office anytime after 3:00 p.m. However, there may be rare occurrences in which it will be necessary to delay the release of keys beyond the 3:00 p.m. check-in time until your unit is ready. No refunds or discounts are given for late or delayed arrivals. Our office is located on US Route 32, approximately 7 miles south of Davis or 4 miles north of the Canaan Valley State Park. CHECK-OUT BY 10:30 A.M.
_____ Maximum Occupancy Limits: The occupancy in a unit shall not exceed the maximum limit set at any time. No more than one unit may be rented to the same responsible party. All of our properties are privately owned, therefore it is the responsibility of Mountaintop Realty to rent to family groups only. Sororities, fraternities, parties, schools, or non-chaperoned groups are not allowed. You must be 25 years of age or older to obtain a rental license. Any violation of these standards will be grounds for immediate eviction without refund.
NO ACTION OR NOTIFICATION IS REQUIRED ON YOUR PART; We will leave an envelope in the key box beside our front door with directions, instructions, and keys on your arrival date.
WINTER MONTHS: - Roads and driveways are routinely plowed. Some roads require vehicles with 4-wheel drive and/or chains. Snow chains are recommended for icy conditions. This should be noted on each homes individual webpage but it is your responsibility to make sure your vehicle is properly equipped for snowy, icy mountain terrain. Also it is not Mountain Top Realty’s responsibility to shovel decks or walkways. A snow shovel is provided at each home. Emergency and after-hours contact numbers are posted on the front door of our office, and on the answering machine.
_____ FURNISHINGS & AMENITIES: All rental properties are completely furnished to include towels, bed linens, fully equipped kitchens and televisions. All units have electric or gas heat and most have a fireplace or woodstove; firewood is supplied, kindling is not. Every effort is made to keep each property and its equipment in good working order; however, NO REFUNDS will be made for mechanical failures, including hot tubs and televisions. There is a STARTER SUPPLY ONLY of toilet paper, bath soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent and trash bags. Any additional supplies or personal items needed will be the renter’s responsibility. NOTE: paper towels, coffee filters and coffee are not supplied. All properties are presented in as is condition by the owner of the property, and not by Mountaintop Realty and Rentals, management company.
_____ PLEASE NOTE: NO PETS ALLOWED except in houses that are designated as “Pet Friendly”. In such cases, a $25 non-refundable pet fee is required PER PET. Infraction of this policy will result in renters assumption and payment of all charges incurred for the complete removal of pet germs and allergens, completed to the satisfaction of Mountaintop Realty and Rentals.
