Beautiful waterfront home, 30 minutes to Napa/ 10 minutes to ferry to San Fran/15 minutes to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Located in the quaint town of Benicia, with its historic downtown, filled with art galleries, fine antique shops and restaurants. Enjoy the best of both worlds: proximity to world-class tourist destinations, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle, in your own private retreat.
This beautiful home was originally built in 1943. The previous owners added a second floor in 2005, which provides a stunning view of the water at all times and breathtaking sunsets in the evenings.
The previous owners taught music lessons in the home for many years. The first floor living area was her classroom, which is where the music motif originated. The current dining room was once students' performance space, framed by the graceful arches and columns.
Like Benicia, the home offers the best of both worlds: a charming cottage feel on the first floor with a relaxing coastal vibe on the second. The two are joined a farmhouse style open kitchen, which also enjoys water views. It's a great space to gather and has easy access to the backyard. The deck is covered by the shade of two majestic California Redwoods, and is a great place to hang out and enjoy the beautiful Benicia breeze.
All of the house and yard are open to guests, except for the locked chicken coop, attic and storage shed (in the driveway).
We will not be on site but we are available by phone and in the vicinity if needed.
Please, no outside guests or furry, feathered or other non-human family members. This is a non-smoking home. Thank you!
