A scenic one hour drive from Hobart, Rotherwood cottage is nestled under the foothills of Table Mountain. It has a private native garden, and sits within paddocks grazed by sheep and cattle, with walking access to pristine wilderness where you will find plenty of native wildlife.
Suitable for a couple’s retreat, or family holiday with farm tours available on request. It is a half hour from Oatlands and Bothwell and a 50 minute drive from Tasmania’s premier wine region, the Coal River Valley.
Rotherwood cottage is a fully functioning family home. It is level access from the back of the house, or five stairs at the front. It is suitable for small children, with a fenced of area and deck.
The kitchen has Bosch appliances, and we can arrange for food to be stocked for you on request with a week’s notice.
The cottage is situated on a large family farm. Farm tours can be arranged on request. There is walking access to surrounding native bushland where you can view native wildlife such as wallaby, possum, bandicoot, wombats and the occasional Tasmania Devil.
The hosts live in the homestead nearby and will greet you on arrival. During the cooler months we can light the wood heater to have the cottage cosy for you on arrival.
