Bright downtown Suttons Bay apartment suite with a coastal feel to the decor, bay view and ideal location across the street from a park and boat launch, the Saturday farmer's market and a paved bike trail that runs to Traverse City (and near several wineries). Downtown shops, great restaurants, festivals and a large sandy beach are just a 1-3 block walk from the house that sleeps four and boasts a small kitchen equipped enough for cooking. Great base for a Leelanau wine tour. All welcome.
You'll access the suite by private outdoor stairs and a breezeway that leads to your second story deck (with a memorable bay view). There's a table with two chairs for outside eating, and we'll leave extra chairs for your use if you need them. Inside, you'll find two double beds and a small loveseat that could work as a bed for a little one in a pinch. The kitchen has a small refrigerator, microwave, Keurig and induction cooktop as well as basic pans and dishes. There's a reluctantly provided high-def TV (nature's the real entertainment here!) and some books and games. You're also welcome to enjoy the house's wide lawn with badminton and chairs for lounging.
We're Kim, a travel writer who loves sharing her tips on local outing and eating favorites, and Karl, a programmer/potter.. If we're around, we'd love to join you for a glass of wine, maybe even an outing on our sailboat. The marina -- like so much else that's cool in town -- is just a short walk from the suite. We're happy to give you your privacy. It's your vacation, and we want you to feel like you have a space all you're own. But we'd also love to steer you to the best of the region we've become experts on and sincerely love.
