When I lived in Spain I used to call this my Travelodge room. If all of the flats in my building were booked I would stay there for a few days but no longer than a week. It had a combi microwave, a tele a kettle and a fridge. The decor is not brilliant, it had been painted in an amateurish way by the previous tenant (who had rented it as a kind of annexe to the top floor flat where friends of his, a couple, stayed and he shared their kitchen and lounge facilities.
My life has been a little unusual. Quite by chance I strolled into the world of television after not knowing at all what path my life was taking and instantly knew this would occupy me for many years. After much time spent travelling the world both for my business and personal pleasure I retired.
Airbnb to me is like for travellers and it has changed my life because I am meeting lots of lovely people and it keeps me very busy so that I rarely have time to enjoy Paul Simon or Alicia Keys or go to the cinema or theatre as much as I would like but as my skills improve this hopefully will change.
