A beachy cottage house style built in the late 30's with refinished hardwood and laminate floors on an semi open plan living area with a wood stove. The decor is a nautical theme mixed with vintage and modern touch. It is a very cozy, quaint and unique place with 3 bedrooms and one of the bathroom is only shared amongst the guests using the 2 private bedrooms (A and B). Bikes and some paddling equipment are available. Only a minute walk to the ocean.
Room B-The bedroom in the loft upstairs, has a little bit of a steep stairs but is a very quaint and unique room that has a comfortable queen bed with a peekaboo view of the Royston Wrecks and which also has a sofa/futon that could sleep one kid or a teenager. That room upstairs, has a sink if you want to stay up in your room to brush your teeth or shave in the morning. It also has a small TV and an electric fireplace.
*Small lap dogs with short hair are welcome, or 40 lbs and under if they don't really shed. :)
* It will be $20 extra to have a third person sleeping on the futon in that room.
P.S. I have another listing for room A on main level, under the same name, "Creek by the Sea" Airbnb.
Free Wifi! You can use the kitchen for simple meals, the laundry, the living room to watch TV shows or a movie.
The property has lots of space for relaxing in the sun where you can choose the little deck with the view of the ocean and looking towards Comox while enjoying a coffee or tea. If you prefer being in the shade, there are 2 hammocks hanging over by the creek with lots of nice trees. There is also a fire pit just by the creek, for a quiet fire on a nice summer night with a glass of wine or a beer, if you wish, with no ones around you!
I should be available most of the time for any questions or if I am not at home, the guests are more than welcome to ask me any question by phoning or texting me.
P.S. French is my first language in case you are more comfortable to speak in that language.
There are 5 bikes to choose from for a nice cruise along the ocean on the bike path (all the way downtown to Courtenay if you want) or you can just go to the local coffee shop for a nice coffee with fresh roasted beans at less than a block for the house. You can also take the bikes or walk to Roy's pub for some drinks and great entertainment, usually during the weekends, at just 3-4 blocks from the house. if you prefer to just explore this fantastic area by paddling, you can have access to a good quality inflatable canoe/kayak or perhaps 2 paddle boards that are also available, depending on your experience, and enjoy the Watch the birds & boats from a minute walk to the seaside from your stay. There will be a waiver to sign if you wish to go on a bike, canoe/kayak or a paddle board. It is only 5 minutes drive to Cumberland where you can find so quaint little coffee shops and more while strolling along the main street, plus the famous Waverly for some great live bands. If you are up for the challenge and you love mountain biking, Cumberland has some world class mountain biking trails. Mount Washington is only 30 minutes drive , 5 minutes to Courtenay and 20 minutes to the airport.
- Preferably no shoes, unless they are very clean or for a quick entrance and exit. P.S. A lap dog would be allowed if it doesn't shed and if there would be other guests sharing the space that aren't allergic or don't mind the presence of a dog! :)
