A great place for writing, studying; a vacation retreat. Perfect "man-cave" too. Self-catering. Ample double room. Ideal for solo traveler or one person who wants a getaway escape to write, read, work, study: or to explore Durban from. Safe, quiet, private. Located in a spacious double-sized apartment. Close to amenities but feels like an oasis. Lovely large arty, colorful and light-filled double-size shared kitchen.
Great space for engaging with your muse. Convenient location to explore Durban from. Conducive creative/working environment for business, study, personal work. Or a great safe space to come home to after exploring the delights of Durban.
Your private work-live space. Any other "communal" space, including the large shared kitchen (and what's in it); whichever bathrooms and/or loo you're using (there are two of each). Pretty much any "open" space in the apartment.
I am a writer and this extra-large double apartment is my retreat/quiet space. Having said that, travel writing and culinary travel are two of my focus areas and — given that I have written extensively about Durban (and know and use the city and area well) — I can share suggestions and offer guidelines.
Security is important. All windows in the apartment are secured with steel burglar bars for safety. The neighborhood is residential and as safe as you'll get in Durban. The apartment block is well secured and guests need to be vigilant about locking, etc. Do this and we can all feel safe and live happily.
