We spent a magnificent ten days in the Lofoten islands, and stayed the whole time at Linda and Markus' fisherman's cottage. It was perfectly located in Ramberg, giving easy access to both the northern and southern sights of the Islands. We would strongly recommend hiring a car, as this made traveling from place to place super easy and the scenery on the way is glorious. The cottage is a traditional Norwegian rorbuer, so you will get the authentic Lofoten experience staying here! It was warm, well-equipped, and had personal touches that made it an interesting and fun place to stay. It is located directly next to a supermarket, which was handy (though closed on Sunday), and has a lovely hike and beach to visit in the immediate surrounds (we visited in summer - not swimming weather if you're from Australia, but gorgeous views nonetheless). Linda was a lovely host - although we didn't meet in person, she was super helpful with check-in and messaged us several times to ask whether we needed anything. Would highly recommend this place!
Note: at time of writing, wifi, microwave and freezer not available. This is did not affect our stay whatsoever, but may need to be considered by others :)
Enjoy Lofoten! The hikes are amazing and the scenery cannot be overrated! Thanks so much for hosting us, Linda and Markus!
