Our home is a pre-1900's hall that has experienced several conversions. It portrays an element of Victorian elegance in the cast iron ware and offers a peaceful outlook in the fragrant front garden.
Ideally located with walking access to woods, river and sea plus many of the delights of a fishing harbour. We welcome both dog owners and bikers the rear access is guarded by both bike and hounds. A breakfast hamper and luxury toiletries are available on arrival. Parking for one guest.
We have a lovely double room that offers a luxury memory foam mattress and therefore a good nights sleep. There is a selection of books available to read in the room, and the TV is available in the front room!
There is a kettle, cups and selection of teas, and coffee for you to drink.
In winter we have two woodburners so a cosy place to warm up and dry your waterproofs.
I am a qualified aromatherapist so can offer a unique blend of essential oils to mix in your shower gel or lotion. If you know what you prefer prior to your arrival I can prepare this for you.
We own several dogs and offer the opportunity to bring your pet with you. We have blankets and towels for pet usage.
We also welcome those travelling by motorcycle and offer the option to get your clothing dried in the loft or by the fire.
We have plenty of hot water and find the showers here generally have a good pressure and flow rate.
You are welcome to join the family to watch TV. There is a table in the kitchen at which you may eat your breakfast.
I have placed a small kettle and cups in the room so that you can have a drink in your room. The garden at the front is laid out with herbs and shrubs and is available for you to sit at any time.
I am available to answer messages, I work full-time but will be happy to guide you to local places of interest. For guests walking the south west coastal path, and would like to stop in West Looe I can arrange to collect you from the path way.
I will provide an information folder in the room, but I can also provide information about any areas you might be interested in.
Looe has a railway station that connects with the mainline at Liskeard.
We are within walking distance of the Hannafore point South West Coastal path. A bus ride to Polperro.
Looe is still a working fishing harbour with a wide range of pleasure boats including glass bottom boats. There is a regular trip to Looe Island ( Wildlife trust) that costs from £25 which is worth booking.
There many types of food to choose, with some exceptional fish dishes on offer. We are happy to guide you to our favourite restaurants.
Please send us a message if you need to arrive earlier than 6pm. We both work full time and have changeable work routine so can let you know if we are home early that day.
Countryside rules in our home please close gates and doors after you have passed through as our dogs enjoy being free.
Noise carries on the river valley so we kindly request that arrivals after 22.00hrs consider our neighbours who may have retired for the night.
