Our home is an airy bright spacious 5 bed 265 sqm house that sleeps 10 comfortably. South facing with an amazing outdoor patio space to the rear which measures upwards 200sqm. The house has a Sonos music system in the kitchen, living, dining & outdoors and also in the master. Less than 1km from Dalkey village with some of Dublin's best restaurants and pubs. Killiney Hill is 500m away with magnificient views over the both bays. 7mins walk to the DART will bring you to Dublin City 10km.

Our 265sqm home is very well appointed. Space is the first thing you feel as the majority of the house is on ground floor. Every room has good proportions. Bedroom 1 on the lhs as you enter the front door has a set of bunk beds with access to the main bathroom. Bed 2 opposite has a queen bed with ensuite. The hallway opens up through glass doors into a very spacious open plan kitchen dining area. This is the hub of the house. Bi-fold doors open up into the back patio area, the perfect place for Alfresco dining. The doors fold back over 4m which brings the patio area into the house and vice versa.

The open plan theme continues into the living room & dining room through a 3m retractable wall that returns in between two walls. This can be closed to separate the space however we always leave it open as the sense of space and light that open plan living provides is brilliant. The living room has a full surround cinema experience with a built in tv and speakers in the wall. Once again space is a premium with higher ceilings adding to the experience. On the opposite side of the kitchen there is a utility room with washer, dryer & a tall freezer. Off the hallway is Bedroom 3 which can double as a bedroom or a playroom is only 4 bedrooms are needed.

Whilst space is more than ample inside, its when you open up the bi-fold doors that you get to experience the true value of this house. The patio to the rear measures upwards 200 sqm with seating for 17, a built in bbq and fire. Facing due South, the area gets direct sunlight all day long. It is the jewel in this houses crown. Its extremely private, not overlooked so you can enjoy your time here even more. Towards the rear of the garden there is a full playground for children with rubber floor covering for added safety.

Upstairs there are 2 ensuite bedrooms. Bed 4 is a double ensuite and the Master faces the rear of the house. It has a king size bed, walk in wardrobe and a master ensuite. It measures over 10m from bedroom to bathroom giving you once again a generous amount of space.

The full house, garden plus parking for 3-4 cars. 7 mins walk to the DART which is the train that will bring you directly into Dublin City. It takes approx. 25mins. We are less than 1km from Dalkey with its award winning restuarants & pubs. If you're lucky you might get to see a few famous faces around like Bono, Conor McGregor, The Edge and many more. Killiney Hill is 500m walk away. With its stunning views over both Dublin Bay and Killiney Bay, you will never tire of the views. Dun Laoghaire is only a 10mins drive away. On the sea there is plenty of water activity going on here from sailing, swimming to Kayaking. Wicklow, (the garden of Ireland) famed for its beauty with an abundance of areas to explore is just a 30mins drive away. Powerscourt waterfall, Powerscourt gardens, Glendalough & the Wicklow mountains are on your doorstep whilst still being close to suburbia, the sea and all Dublin has to offer. We are very lucky to live in such a great location.

Johnny’s place was exactly as advertised. Maeve was gracious enough to meet us early. The house is large and open and very comfortable. The play structure is great is you have little ones with you. The location is perfect. We made two day trips to Dublin as well as Wicklow area sight seeing. The closeness to the DART is very convenient and also loved the closeness to Dún Laoghaire. Everything was ready for us and it was great to have the space to relax after eight seeing. Maeve was available by text immediately although we had no issues to resolve. It was a very nice stay. I recommend it to family travelers.

We had a fantastic stay at Johnny and Maeve's house and highly recommend their place for a family or group vacation!! They are brand new to hosting and we were their very first guests, but they already did it like pros! The house is in a really beautiful, upscale, and charming suburb of Dublin (Bono lives nearby!), which we loved because of the access to incredible walks/hikes (Killiney Hill) and scenic neighboring villages. But it was also an easy walk to the train and a short 30 minute ride to the city, where we got to explore all of Dublins sites/activities. Really the best of both worlds!! The house itself is big, bright, modern and extremely comfortable. It has tasteful decor, a fantastic outdoor space, a huge backyard, and wonderful open kitchen. Perfect for our group of 4 adults and 4 teenagers, in Ireland for vacation! Johnny couldn't have been nicer or better at communicating. He and Maeve greeted us at the house for a quick tour and bit of instruction before leaving us to enjoy the space. He even allowed us to do an early check in after our red eye flight from California! So nice!! Great place! Great people! Thank you Johnny and Maeve!!!

A perfect house in a perfect location! We loved Johnny's house and the garden, especially kids. The playground with a little cute house in the garden was very popular in our family. There is a very cute little village called Dalkey as well Killiney hill not far away. Powerscourt house is around 20 mins drive, too nice to miss. Unfortunately we didn't meet Johnny and his family, but they made us feel very welcomed with all the support through messages and as well preparing the house for us. Thank you Johnny.
