I'll start with the positives. The flat is in a great location. It's about a 6/7 minute walk from the tube station. There's a large Tesco close to the flat as well which was great. The host was lovely. She allowed us to check in and out when we wanted, which was a huge help. She was also very quick to respond to my messages, which was great too. The flat is a decent size and is perfect for a couple. There's free parking available, which was essential for me, so I was extremely pleased about that. Now to the negative points. There's no TV in the flat, which isn't a major issue, but the fact that the internet was capped at 5GB a week was a major issue. As there's no TV, I was streaming shows and movies online, but I couldn't do this too often otherwise the internet would have cut off. There's no microwave in the flat, which was a major inconvenience for me, as I couldn't reheat my food after I cooked. I ended up borrowing a microwave as I literally couldn't cope without one. The bathroom has mould, which isn't good at all. If you leave your towel in the bathroom, it will eventually smell like mould, so I wouldn't recommend leaving it in there. The bathtub wasn't cleaned properly and there were hairs left in the drain, which wasn't very pleasant at all. The toilet seat is broken, so it moves around when you sit on it. The drawer where the cutlery is kept was dirty and there were crumbs of food in there, which wasn't very good. The power randomly cut off in the flat and it wasn't due to the fuse box. It then came back on after about 45 mins. The power cut off a second time, but this was due to the money on the meter running out. The bed was quite uncomfortable as the mattress is super thin. If the flat was cleaner, there was a microwave and unlimited Wi-Fi, I would consider staying there again. As I said before, the host was lovely, but the apartment was disappointing.
