The apartment is located in the city center of Zaandam. Many restaurants and shopping area are available within walking distance. It's been completely renovated and clean and tidy.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport - Zaandam:
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, has direct trains to Zaandam every 30 minutes, or with a change of train, every 15 minutes.
€ 5,50 for a one way ticket, per person and will take about 16 minutes to Zaandam. It's a 6 minute walk to my house.
The first train from Schiphol - Zaandam is at 05:00 (am)
The last train from Schiphol - Zaandam is at 01:20 (am)
Normal taxi fare is about € 50,- during the day, or € 60,-/70,- at night. The ride is about 22 minutes to my house, depending on traffic.
Uber taxi fare is about € 40,-/45,-

Zaandam - Amsterdam Central Station (Center of Amsterdam):
1. Best and fastest option: By train
It's a 5 minute walk to the train station Zaandam, the ride takes about 12 minutes to arrive at Amsterdam Central Station. Costs about 2,70 EUR one way, per person. About 12 trains per hour go to Amsterdam Central Station.

2. Cheapest option is by Bus
It's also a 5 minute walk to the bus station, from where busses leave every 15 minutes, to Amsterdam Central Station. The ride will take about 30 minute and costs about 2,50 EUR, one way.
During Thu, Fri, Sun, busses go all night, once per hour, from or ending at Amsterdam Central Station
3. Scenic option is by boat
From thursday to sunday, public transport boats leave, at 3 minutes walking from my house. This boat navigates through to Amsterdam Central Station, passing a lot of monuments along the way. This ride will take about 1 hour, and costs 4 EUR one way, or 7 EUR for a return ticket.
4. By (rental) bike
It's 5 EUR/day to rent a bike, just 2 minutes walking from my house. The bike ride will take you to Amsterdam Central Station, in about 40-50 minutes, depending on how fast you peddle :)
5. By car
Amsterdam is reachable by car, within 15-20 (depending on traffic) minutes you should arrive at a parking spot in Amsterdam. The cost for parking with a car in Amsterdam is about 5 EUR/hour. (I have a free private parking space available at my house).

It's a beautiful historical place to visit (0,5 a day trip), only about 4 km away from the apartment.
