Great place for a big family! We had my 77-yr-old grandma all the way down to my 11-mo-old niece with us. The house is pretty spacious. There were 13 of us if you count the baby and we never felt cramped. My brother and his groomsmen even came to the house the morning of his wedding to get ready and there were still plenty of seating, mirrors, etc so everyone to could take their time.
BEAUTIFUL sunrise view every morning!
Nona and Juan were great! Very quick to respond to all my messages. They really did go out of their way to make sure we were comfortable during our vacation. They provided a pack-n-play/play yard for my niece, a little fold out mattress for my 3-yr-old nephew, and they even got a new shower chair just for my grandma! Made us feel like Ohana.
We all got in the pool the first day and a few of us took the kayaks out during the rest of our stay, which by the way was my first time ever on a kayak. They also provided everything we needed for a day at the beach. The driveway and extra parking spot can hold at least 4 cars, which was great since each one of my cousins rented a car. There was so much patio space and seating, everyone could be outside enjoying the warm Hawaii air at the same time.
Just FYI, as far as no baby proofing, my niece hasn't spent much time learning how to go up or down stairs yet, but she was under adult supervision at all times so that was never a problem.
Also, my grandma had a stroke a few years ago and can't do stairs very well, so it was perfect that there was a comfy sofa for her to sleep on and a full bathroom on the main/entry level. She just had to get down two steps from the driveway to the front door. She also had the best morning view compared to everyone else in the house since she had those huge picture windows looking right out onto the water.
Bottom line - I would absolutely recommend this place!
