Camping at ODIN WINE Campground - TERMS & CONDITIONS
Guests and visitors agree to abide by all campground rules.

You are agreeing to this CAMPING WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM in order to gain access to the campgrounds. Failure to do so, will void your access to the campgrounds and no refund will be given.
The address is: 2483 Calistoga Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95404
Some GPS’s do not get the exact location correct, so aim for where Skinner Rd meets Calistoga Rd. - the driveway is on the West side of Calistoga Rd and has a big brown metal gate.
Click this link to see the exact location in Maps:
The gate code is “3100” - stop your car at the traffic cone, as the gate open outwards.

Check In/Out:
Check-in is between 2pm and 6pm.
We do not enforce the “before 6pm check-in rule” as such, but it does get dark, so as a favor to yourself try to have everything setup in time for sunset.
All camps are walk-up, and unattended, so just make your way up by yourself.
It is, as many reviewers point out, a steep walk up to the sites, but you will be rewarded with fabulous mountain views, so don’t bring more stuff than you can comfortably carry between you.
Check-out is noon. At check-out, leave your campsite as you found it. Remove all trash, discard in appropriate recycling and trash containers.

Please park your car to the immediate right of the entrance gate at the flat area. Park at a 90 angle to the road, and park as close together as possible. Be aware of not locking other cars in, if you arrive late.

By the tall power post where the water tank is, there is a couple of power outlets where you are welcome to charge phones, camping lanterns or what ever requires charging. Be aware that the power is 230V, so check your chargers that they are rated 110V-240V (most are) or use the ones provided at the site.

There is a big water tank for cooking and washing off by the phone charging site. While perfectly fresh spring water, this is not recommended as drinking water as we do not test or treat up there. Bring your own drinking water or take water at the house by the green hose, as this water is properly treated and filtered. There is a 10 Gallon orange “Home Depot” tank, that we refill every second day with drinking water, feel free to take what you need, and let us know if it’s running empty.
We also sell gallons of supermarket spring water if you can’t be bothered.

There is a communal cooking spot at the top where the big tent is. Here you will find a propane fired grill that you are free to use, please share and be respectful of others. There is also a propane fired “fire pit” that you can use for smores or just cozying up, but it's not meant for cooking. If you have your own propane fired camp stoves, feel free to use those.
Another grill is found by the utility shed.
Non-propane cooking or fires are strictly forbidden due to the wildfire hazard. No wood fires, coals or anything but propane. No exceptions.

We allow dogs, but they must be kept at a leash AT ALL TIMES from you exit your car until you leave. We love dogs and have one ourselves, but all campers might not feel the same, so be considerate and clean up after it. Check your dogs for ticks and foxtail that can occur at times in the rough.

There is a green vanity tent at the pond area behind Site 1 with a porta potty inside. Please deposit the bags in the containers provided. It’s very basic, but we are not a part of the Hilton chain.
There is also a more comfortable composting toilet to be found in the utility shed by the water tank.

You are free to roam all the land as you please. Behind the pond you can enter the denser part of the woods, it’ s a steep climb for the experienced hiker, but you are also welcome to roam around on the gentler slopes, and take a rest at the new romantic Viewing Patio facing south. Call me if you need wine or champagne supplies, I don’t do the accordion though.

We haven’t really had any problems with scavenging wildlife so far, but your wish is our command, so we have 6 big lockers available at the utility shed. Please mark your goods with your name to avoid misunderstandings - if I see unmarked bacon or steak I’ll eat it.

Again, no fires are allowed. The whole area is prone to wildfires, and we are not going to be the ones starting one. There is a fire extinguisher at the cooking site, and one at the power station.
First aid kit in the tent at site 1.
We have a snake bite kit at the house, in the very unlikely event that you should need one.
No drugs whatsoever, reasonable alcohol consumption is tolerated. Drunken and disorderly conduct will not be tolerated. Be a courteous neighbor.

Looking so much forward to seeing you all here at Odin Wine - Camp Midgard and Valhalla.

Nice host, great view, even left a bottle of wine in the yurt. Bring lots of sunscreen and watch out for poison oak but otherwise a fantastic night and would do again.

We had a great time staying at Henrik's yurt! The location is super convenient - just 3 miles outside of Santa Rosa and there were tons of wineries near by. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to half camp - you have all the amenities you need provided to you and you're close enough to stores, etc but you still feel like you're tucked away in nature and super remote when you actually hike up to the yurt. Henrik also let us borrow a crate for our dog, so we were able to keep her safely outside the Yurt during the night. Overall, we had a great time at Henrik's property! We especially enjoyed the deck with the view looking out towards the mountains. Thanks, Henrik!
