This is a family holiday home, built in the late 1980's. It's definitely not fancy, but the views are magnificent and it is situated in a gorgeous indigenous forest, in the wonderful town of Wilderness. We are listing this home in the event that anyone affected by the fires on the Garden Route needs a home. We will probably only use the house in December so it is empty and ready to accommodate a family who needs it.
The house has linen available but you will need to make up the beds. You will also need to clean (we do have a wonderful cleaner we can put you in touch with). The house is not meant to be in pristine condition - there is some damp (not a lot, but some) and some of the doors take a bit of elbow grease to open, but we love it. It's peaceful, filled with love and we love sharing it.
The incredible Wilderness village, great restaurants, beaches, rivers, hikes and so much more. There is a bicycle in the garage, a boat, a canoe and paddleski, fishing rods, fishing nets etc.
We do not live in Wilderness, but have a wonderful neighbour who can assist and a woman (Nicky) who looks after the house that can help get you settled.
- Respect the house and look after it. Don't dismantle the braai!
- You will need to switch on the geyser.
- If you have a small child, please put the net on the pool.
- Please accept the house as it is. Some of the doors are a bit rotten but they all work. This is not 5 star.
