The Normal Heights Hideaway is a great spot for one or two people who want a quiet spot in a fun central location of San Diego. It is a granny flat that has its own private yard, private parking and private (alley) access. The inside of the studio itself is on the smaller side, but is well organized and the private outdoor space makes up for it. It is walking distance from Normal Heights and Kensington and an easy drive to the 15, 805 and 8 and 10 minutes from downtown. We hope you enjoy!
- GENERAL – Our back unit, which we call the Normal Heights Hideaway, is part of our property. We expect you will respect our property as you would respect your house. If possible, please upload a profile picture so that we can identify you by sight. This is our way of ensuring we let you in and not a stranger. If you have any questions, please ask, we are right in the front house and outside of work hours most of the time one of us is around. EXTRA GUESTS – A maximum of two people can stay in the unit. All overnight guests must be authorized through the websites normal procedures. The house is not “child-proofed” but a couple with a small infant would be OK. GATHERINGS OR PARTIES - We understand if you have people you know or people you meet over for dinner, but please limit the group to 6 or so respectful people. The unit is large enough for a dinner gathering, but we do not feel it is appropriate to have a party. QUIET HOURS - Please respect the city ordinances and the neighbors’ well-being and limit the volume after 10 pm and before 7 am. SMOKING – Absolutely no illegal drugs of any kind are to be on the property, Alcohol is okay though. There is to be no smoking inside the house. Smoking outdoors is permitted but please use an ash tray. OFF-LIMIT AREAS - Please use the back alley entrance. Please let us know if you are ordering transportation, getting packages delivered or directing friends to the front address for ease. The shed adjacent to the unit is for my tools and is not accessible. CLEANING PROCEDURES - There is a trash can under the kitchen and one next to the barbeque. Additional bags are under the kitchen as well. There is a large black garbage bin on the south side of the unit. Garbage day is Friday (unless there is a holiday during the prior 6 days in which case it is Saturday). I will put the trash out the evening prior. The recycling bin is outside next to the trash bin. Please try and keep the kitchen area as neat as possible. All dishes will be cleaned prior to your arrival, and we expect you to keep them clean. There is a drying rack and hand towels. LAUNDRY - There is no laundry on the premises, but there is a laundromat on 38th and El Cajon Blvd, or several others on Adams ave. PETS/ANIMALS - Please do not have any pets in the unit. DOORS AND LOCKS - You have been provided two keys, they lock both the main door and the security door. Please return them both of you will be charged 25 dollars per lost key. STAINS/BREAKS – If anything breaks / stains / spills, etc., please let me know as soon as possible. Any significant damage will result in the loss of the security deposit.
