This lovely home is a 1928 heritage home that was once owned by one of the Stewart brothers who founded the town of Stewart, B.C. The home is walking distance to Main Street and the estuary; and has hiking trail heads just minutes away. Hyder is a short 5 minute drive where you can bear watch at Fish Creek or carry on to Salmon Glacier where you can view the largest road accessible glacier in North America!
The home is a peaceful retreat, surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature. The entrance level is where the washer and dryer are located. Shoes should be removed on this level. On the second floor there is the main living area, which is open to the kitchen area with beautiful mountain views all around. The kitchen is fully stocked, ready to go for cooking. There is a full bathroom with shower on this level. The top floor has another full bathroom with cast iron tub and 2 bedrooms. (There are two private, curtained areas for air bed use if needed.)
The entire home is open to guests.
I do not live in Stewart, but I am available by phone for any questions you may have regarding the home.
If driving into Stewart, please watch for signage advising of road closures during certain hours.
