Large converted farmhouse in a little hamlet in Brittany. Surrounded by fields, with a very large garden. The house has been lovingly restored over the last 28 years by my family and the couple who used to live there and work the farm. The house was built in 1785 and still has all the original beams and stone work.
The House is our family home and was bought by my parents in 1989 at which point it had not longed stopped being used as a working farm. It was in ruins and our childhood was spent watching and participating in our father and Mr Orsor working tirelessly and with so much passion to restore this building into a beautiful home. As a family we have been part of the community for all these years and it is full of kind and interesting people who have lived in this hamlet all their life. As the house and garden are so large I often have no desire to venture further and can spend weeks there just walking the fields and lanes in close proximity to the house, playing games in the garden, cooking and reading a good book. This is the perfect place to simply be and relax with family and friends
The beautiful coastal towns of Dinard, Dinan and St Malo are just over an hour’s drive away and there are many other historic towns, lakes and chateaux to visit nearer by. Nantes, a very vibrant and interesting town is 45 mins drive away with so many interesting places to visit including Les Machines de l’iles and the Musee des Beaux-Arts de Nantes. All made even better when retreating to the calm and beautiful settings of the house after a big day out.
The whole house and outside areas will be accessible to guests
This is not the place for a wild party to go on until the early hours, having said this laughter and people enjoying themselves is essential.
