Comfy Craftsman home in the heart of Berkeley, steps from UCB campus. Head up the hill to great hiking and a 5-star hotel restaurant, or take a leisurely stroll to downtown Berkeley and visit BAMPFA, the new Berkeley art museum. Alternatively, start your day with a latte at the corner cafe and enjoy a pretty walk to BART through tree-lined streets (it's just 20 min to downtown San Francisco). Lovely garden and outside lit deck, plus lots of resources to help you make the most of your stay.
Coffee, tea, and yummy morning treats available upon request. The space is comfortable and artsy, and invites good conversation or a glass of wine. (There's a lovely wine shop around the corner, and Ashby Market, across the street, has all you could need).
Delightful space; you are welcome to use the kitchen, living room, TV room, and garden. Laundry facilities available upon request (there is also a laundromat two short blocks away). Off-street open parking for one vehicle.
I write at home and am happy to meet your needs when not working. While I enjoy meeting travelers from all over the world, I fully respect your privacy. I speak German, French, and Spanish.
Some miscellaneous facts: Please alert me to any special requests prior to arrival. Allergic to fresh flowers? Let me know. Or need dairy-free creamer for your coffee? Although I live on a main street, the house is quiet. Whole Foods is a just short two blocks away, and most cafes, shops, and amenities are even closer. Got questions? Just ask me! If you'd like to stay longer than 10 days, please contact me. Perhaps an exception can be made...
As a courtesty to the neighbors, please keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm.
