Welcome to Casita Espanola in Miami (Coconut Grove), Florida. Original construction in 1924 created this structure as the carriage house for the horses and buggy to the owners who lived on nearby Bayshore Drive. The main house (our home) was the Servants' quarters to those who maintained the entire property of a 10 acre orange grove. Great effort has been made to preserve its history and beauty.
As you will see, Coconut Grove is the jewel of Miami. Come visit us and share in that vision!
The cottage is completely independent of the house with a secured gated entrance and parking. Through a series of phases, the casita (cottage) has gone through many facelifts, but always maintained its charm and history. It is arranged as an oversized one bedroom apartment, approximately 900 sq.ft. The kitchen is fully functional with a stove, microwave, refrigerator and sink. A beautiful patio area also allows for enjoyment of the warm tropical air of South Florida. There is adequate seating for everyone to enjoy from breakfast to a glass of wine to a sumptuous dinner. Our overall property is immaculately manicured and full of palm trees, flowers and orchids.
Since we live on the property, we are available during regular hours to answer questions and suggest things to do. If you prefer a private adventure, we'll happily leave you in peace. It's your choice.
- There is a 2-day minimum for reservations. Weekend reservations begin on Friday unless booking for 4 or more days. Check out is at 11 am. Check in at 3pm. This is a NONSMOKING home.
