This is a great neighborhood with lots of places to walk to and a very unique park, Leslie Science & Nature Center, with 50 acres of woods with trails and one of Michigan's oldest kettle ponds. The Center is home to live Raptors that have been rescued after injury and are unable to be returned to the wild. At the Center, they are used for teaching purposes. It's one of the only places that you can take a walk and stand a foot from an Eagle, Hawk, Owl, etc. and there is no fee.
Many parks in every direction including Argo Canoe Livery open for the summer May 27-Sept 4 every day, 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
