Getaways in the Colorado mountains are what we do. Our Lotus Belle glamping yurts are a decadent retreat for people who want to enjoy nature in comfort. Imagine going for a hike, then spending the rest of the day reading a book on the plush memory foam bean bag and enjoying a cup of tea at the bistro table. Imagine spending the evening lounging on the queen size memory foam bed, to the flickering light of the clean burning in-tent fireplace.

This season we are set up next to a meadow and a grove of aspens in beautiful Kenosha Pass. The Colorado Trail runs nearby and there are wonderful opportunities for hiking, exploring with your dog, and viewing wildflowers and the turning of the aspens in their respective seasons.

We provide a unique experience in nature by setting up in relatively remote locations. Because of this, our cleaning fee is higher than a typical Airbnb listing.

Our beautiful Lotus Belle yurts feel light and and spacious inside. They are 13 feet in diameter, 6 feet tall at the walls, and about 9 feet tall in the center. You can move freely and stretch out in the space without crouching. The Lotus Belle is not only beautiful and spacious, but functional as well. It is constructed of waterproof canvas and has a waterproof floor. When the windows and doors are shut, our yurts shelter guests from rain, wind and hail. Mosquito net, clear vinyl, and canvas window coverings allow guests to moderate the temperature of the space while keeping insects out. Lay in bed and watch the wind move in the trees through the window, or close the canvas shutters to make the space cozy and private.

We also provide a camp toilet and a heated camp shower, each in their own separate tents.

Our luxurious setup includes:
- Carpeted tent floor.
- A queen size bed on a wooden bed frame with a 6 inch memory foam mattress and bedding. Two soft, fluffy, all-season comforters provide warmth on cold nights.
- A small portable indoor fireplace for ambiance and heating.
- A teak bistro set with two padded chairs.
- A large memory foam bean bag.
- A wicker chest containing some interesting books and guides about our recommended areas, instructions for using the camp equipment, a first-aid kit, and other practical items.
- A bathroom tent with a camp toilet.
- A shower tent with a propane powered water heater for freshening up.

The access to our Kenosha Pass location is by dirt road. The site is accessible by a typical 2wd vehicle. Keep in mind that even 2wd dirt roads have sections with potholes, puddles, and washboarding. If you're new to dirt roads, take it slow.

Our wish is for you to have a wonderful time enjoying the woods, mountains and meadows with each other. Phone reception is not available in most campsites, and we hope that you enjoy being "unplugged" for a while :)

If you do need to make a call, it is likely that you will have to drive some distance in order to use your phone, and we are available by phone to assist you with your stay.

Colorado is famous for the number of sunny days that we get. A typical summer day in the Rockies is sunny skies in the morning and some sun and clouds in the afternoon with about a 50% chance of intermittent showers or thunderstorms, followed by clear evenings. While the mountains are beautiful, they are also unpredictable. We can't guarantee that you'll get the perfect weather. However, we are committed to your stay in these majestic and powerful mountains being safe and comfortable.

In the high season of summer, leading up to Memorial Day, the mountains get busy. While our site is off by itself, and visually shielded, during this time, there will definitely be other campers nearby in the area.

We have other listings for our guests as well:

Suggested Packing List:

Warm clothing: down jacket, fleece, wool or synthetic socks, spare socks, waterproof boots, long underwear, synthetic shirts, gloves, warm hat, sunglasses, rain gear, camp shoes or sandals, synthetic undergarments, flip-flops for shower

Sleeping bags: The bedding included with the camp setup is very warm, but if nighttime temperatures drop below freezing, sleeping bags may be necessary to be comfortable.

Also, while the bedding will keep your body warm, you may want to have a hat or ski mask nearby to keep your head warm as you sleep.

Personal gear: Flashlight or headlamp with replacement batteries, camera, phone and phone charger, toothbrush, toothpaste, feminine products, biodegradable soap/shampoo (Dr. Bronner's will be included, but if you want something specific, bring that)

Camp stove, pot and/or pan, cooking utensils, eating utensils, plates and bowls, food, cooler (keep in car or hang it in a tree to prevent wildlife from getting to it), drinking water (we recommend 2 gallons per person, per day, for drinking and cooking, shower water (if showering, plan for 5 gallons per shower), trash bags, firewood and/or a hatchet or axe for making smaller pieces out of larger deadfall, hand sanitizer.

If applicable: For your dog(s) extra water, dog food and water bowls, dog bed and blanket (even in the middle of summer, nights can get cold), leash.

We loved every minute we got to spend in this tent and the area around it! Fall was a beautiful time to sit outside and look at the trees, have a fire, and relax. The little fireplace inside the tent made it extra cozy when it was time for bed. The next morning we did some walking on the Colorado Trail nearby which was also amazing. Cynthia provided a great packing list and directions for checking in. Thank you again!

Amazing experience! Cynthia was so helpful since we were flying in, renting equipment, and coming from sea level. She was very communicative and we always felt like we had exactly what we needed to feel comfortable. The yurt is simply beautiful and everything was great! It's removed from other campsites in the park since you have to walk through the forest a tiny bit to get to it. Everything was super clean, but you definitely are glamping at the same time! Thank you again for the unbelievable experience! Missing it already!

My fiancée and I rented this adorable yurt over Labor Day weekend to get out of Denver and relax before summer is gone! We were able to bring our dog and had such a wonderful time decompressing and enjoying "camping" while enjoying a few luxuries. The yurt is exactly as described. The bed is comfortable and the table and chairs are convenient to pull out and use by the fire. I was under the impression that this location was very secluded so I will mention that you drive through the Kenosha Pass Campground but are still surrounded by other camp sites not associated with the campground. Since it was Labor Day weekend, there were a lot of people around which made it a noisier than we were hoping but we were still able to relax. I would definitely recommend this yurt to anyone looking for a "glamping" experience while still being only an hour away from Denver. Cynthia was very responsive and provided excellent driving directions as well as helpful tips and packing ideas. All in all, we had a wonderful time!

Life is an adventure.

I love to travel and to climb Colorado's 14er's. I also love people. I'm curious to meet new people, see new places, and learn ways of understanding the world.

Over the last two years, my wife and I skydived into our beach wedding with half of our wedding guests, we took a 3 month trip through Australia and southeast Asia, and we're currently expecting our first child.

The adventure continues :)
