This home is situated in a quiet neighborhood that is a ten minute drive from downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The upstairs bathroom is dedicated to the guests. It has a full shower and tub. The room is ideal for a single person or a couple. The house is air-conditioned, and there is an overhead fan in the room. The enclosed front porch and back patio are available for your enjoyment.
Wally and I look forward to meeting you and would like to help make your traveling as convenient as possible.
The bedroom and bathroom are up one set of stairs. The washer, dryer and iron, if needed, are in the basement. There is one available closet in each room for clothing.
The guests share the upstairs bathroom.
Though there are two bedrooms available at one price, we accept only 1 group of people at a time. So, if there are 2 or 3 people in a group, they are welcome to use both bedrooms. This works well for a couple with a single guest, or 2 individuals who come together, but are singles.
The bedroom and upstairs bathroom are for your private use. You may choose to dine on our front enclosed porch, or sit and "chill" on the patio. You are invited to watch a movie or TV with us. Feel at home at Sanctuary.
Wally and I are eager to meet you. If you need assistance with directions or suggestions for activities within our region, we will be glad to help. If you just want to be alone and rest, that is fine too. We love to mix with our guests, when they feel like socializing.
You may park in our driveway. It is to the east of the house. University Circle is easily accessed by car. There, one can attend a Cleveland Orchestra concert, or visit the world class Cleveland Museum of Art or one of three other museums within walking distance of each other. We are about 15 minutes from the "Q" Arena," The East Bank Flats, Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, West Side Market, and Progressive Field. Cleveland has many amazing restaurants. We are approximately 10 minutes from Tremont and 12 minutes from Ohio City. You will find Cleveland an exciting place to stay.
The house needs to be quiet by 11:00 p.m.
Arrivals after 10:00 p.m. need prior approval from hosts.
Sunday breakfast will be supplied, but not served.
I am a retired French and English teacher. My husband is retired from Veteran's Affairs (the V.A.) I have taught in both public and private schools, and later taught ESL to internationals and found that very fulfilling. I still keep a finger in the pie by tutoring. We have three sons; married, and eight grandchildren.
We love reading, travel, family, our dog, Amazon video, and the Bible.
We love the country of France, especially the Provence.
Our family motto is "Work hard, and do your best!"
