Relax in our newly constructed Alberta Nest guest house. It is modern, bright and airy with one-bedroom. You will enjoy the high ceilings, French doors & skylights. It is great home base for business or pleasure. We are steps away from the amazing Alberta Arts neighborhood with many cafes, breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, bike shops, galleries & boutiques. All are welcome at our guest house. LGBTQ friendly.
Enjoy the 1 bedroom guest house with a kitchen, TV, living area, heating & air conditioning, wi-fi, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, washer & dryer. The French doors open to your own fenced semi-private yard with outside seating area. The living area has amazing natural light. Guests sleeping in on the sofa bed may wish to bring a sleep eye mask if they want to sleep before sunset or after sunrise.
We provide some basics for your stay including coffee, tea and a few snacks. See the amenities section of the listing for more details.
Access to the guest house is down the driveway on the left of the main house. You have full access to the 1 bedroom Alberta Nest guest house. The French doors open to your own fenced semi-private courtyard with patio seating. You may hear us in our backyard and we might hear you in yours. But it's not a bother to us.
We have a smart lock and you will have your own code to access the guest house during your visit.
We may check-in to make sure everything is ok during your stay. If we are around, we would love to meet you and hear about your travels. But we also are happy to give you your privacy and space.
Access to our guest house is up our narrow driveway, which has a short steep slope at the beginning. There is one step up to the guest house (both front and back doors). Due to the narrow driveway, it is not possible to drive up the driveway even for drop-off. The front door is about 80 feet from the sidewalk.
Our guest house is brand new! We are still working on the landscaping. Bear with us as we finish landscaping in between guests.
We are in the landing path for some airplanes into PDX. Often, you can hear a few planes landing between 5 and 7 pm.
Our neighbors are building a house. During the day, you can sometimes hear the construction noises.
We are planning to paint the exterior of the main house this fall. You might see painters working on the main house while you are here.

Jason and I live in Portland with our 4 year old son. We are both from Oregon, love biking, traveling and exploring the outdoors.
We love staying in AirBnb when we travel. We just started hosting and are looking forward to meeting more travelers.
