This comfortable San Francisco apartment sits on Polk Street (popular with locals). It is centrally located and seconds away from some of San Francisco’s best tourist attractions (Union Square, Ghirardelli, cable cars, etc.), restaurants, cafes, boutique shops, and nightlife! This is true San Francisco living. Our building is like a family, everyone is very welcoming and would be happy to meet you. Ask any of us for recommendations during your stay, or join us for a dinner or outing!
This is a beautiful 111 year old building. You may occasionally hear neighbors or people outside -- it's part of the charm. (If you are especially sensitive to noise in the big city, you may wish to consider neighborhoods outside the city center.) || The bathroom has an original historic clawfoot tub! || There is a cooling fan next to each of the beds, but they aren't often used because the weather in San Francisco is often cooler than many expect. || This is a pet-free home; however, you may occasionally be greeted by a friendly dog or cat in the building. || All bedding and linens are washed very thoroughly in preparation for every new guest. I take pride in how clean the apartment is, and hope you will be comfortable in my space! || There is a queen-sized air mattresses if you want to squeeze more guests into the space, please confirm with me beforehand. || We have a washer & dryer inside the building!
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT are extremely easy, and the times can be flexible depending on other guests. Note that because this is my home (and not a hotel), there is no "hotel front desk" for me to store your bags before your check-in time. || PARKING is difficult in San Francisco. Many people rely on Uber/Lyft to get around the city. (There are rare cases where public transit is best.) If you still plan on renting or bringing a car, know that parking will become more difficult the closer you are to all the things you're coming to San Francisco for. Because I live in a popular area, parking is difficult. With many exceptions, there is 2-hr parking (until 9pm every day) and metered parking (until 6pm every day). On Sundays, street parking is free. For my neighbors, it generally takes 10-30 min to find parking nearby. (If you still intend to bring a car, the Holiday Inn at 1500 Van Ness Ave has $45 overnight parking, and is a 9-block walk away from my home.)
--> No scents (strict). This includes perfumes/colognes, heavily scented lotions, sprays, smoking, etc.
--> No shoes inside. Remove your shoes when you enter the apartment, do not wear them inside.
--> Noise. Keep the noise level reasonable.
--> Additional guests. You’re welcome to host a get-together and even have others spend the night! You are responsible for your guests abiding by the house rules. If 3 or more additional guests will be coming over, you must send me a message letting me know how many will be joining your group and their estimated length of stay. (I may have a local bottle of wine to donate to your get-together.) Have fun!

I love hosting -- all types of parties and get-togethers and people from everywhere -- but nothing beats hosting in my own home. I've been both a guest and a host on Airbnb for a long time, and I love sharing this unique city with unique people. I'm 5th generation SF, ask me anything.
