Thanks for the feedback. First off, we appreciate your nice words about the apartment, and about us as hosts. That said, we take seriously any constructive criticism. After your review, we carefully walked through the unit and building to assess your points, as we strive to respond quickly to any maintenance issues. Nonetheless, we found the condition of the furniture, floors, paint, etc., to be in the same high quality shape as just after our mid-2017 renovation. Indeed, shortly before your stay we posted new professional photos to the listing, and we think they accurately reflect the condition of the apartment. Further, we believe the building’s common areas have aged well. The listing already includes some photos of these areas (like the pool and outdoor courtyard). We will also add a photo of the elevator hallway, which we thought they was also clean and in good repair. In fact, the janitorial staff cleans the hallways at least 3 times a day. We realize we cannot please every guest, but perhaps a hotel would be more suitable for your future travels, even if you have to pay more than your USD 45 base rate. Most of the apartment's guests choose our city center location because of its close proximity to many historic sites, and also museums, art centers, fantastic restaurants, cafés, lounges, etc., as well as being adjacent to the main line of the metro. As you mentioned, a more suburban area of Santiago, like Las Condes or La Dehesa, might more align with your personal preferences. All the best!
