Wake up gently to the sound of birds sweetly chirping outside of your tent while cozy on your real queen mattress in your 6'6" tall 10'X14' canvas tent for your ultimate glamping experience. Open the screened windows to get a nice cross breeze and see the greenery as you wake up. Nestled in the wooded area of our backyard and against the forest the tent is a real oasis. There is one electricity cord to charge devices and a lamp. Wifi is not always the strongest at the tent. You are welcome to come do your work on the front porch sitting area where the wifi is great if you like!
We have a full outdoor kitchen for our guests and a pizza oven for weekend pizza nights! Come ready to cook and store your food in the house fridge or check out the restaurant scene. The gardens, hot tub and porch are all great places to hang out. There are many nooks around the property to get cozy with a book, please explore.
Kit - the owner of the house loves to entertain guests. He has great stories of his world travels, sustainable building practices and loves to share a glass of wine. Leesa is always around for questions and happy to chat as well.
You are welcome to bring one vehicle to our oasis on orcas island, but it is recommended to take the ferry as a walk on passenger to avoid frustrations with the ferry system. Feel free to bring your own bicycle or to use ours on a first come first serve basis. It's simple and easy to park your vehicle in Anacortes and take public transportation on the island.
Please clean up after yourself as you go in the kitchen. The dishes should be dried and put away when you are done. Don't leave personal items or wet towels in the bathroom. Smoking outside only.

I spend a lot of time thinking about traveling - I just drove my 1977 Toyota chinook to Baja. The last book I read was on the road by Kerouac and it was excellent. The last international travel I did was Mexico and before that Belize. By staying in my Chinook you are supporting my gypsy tendencies - thank you!
