Sunny one-bedroom apartment in Petersham. 15-minute train ride to city, handy to airport. Polished wood floors, roomy bedroom, and living area, WIFI and eclectic library.
This is my home that I rent out while I'm not in town.
It's a second-floor one-bedroom apartment in what would have been the servants quarters of an old mansion.
Polished wood floors, roomy bedroom, cozy kitchen and bathroom.
As it's my house I do have some personal possessions - clothes, books etc - in the space. It's very clean and comfortable, but not impersonal like a hotel room.
Additional sofabed in lounge, PS3 with a few games, 4g WIFI.
Handy to both airport and city in a fun inner west neighbourhood.
Shared laundry (washing machine only) and yard with clothesline.
Guests have access to the whole place.
I'll often be out of town while guests are there, but most things about the apartment are fairly self-explanatory. There'll also be a local contact in case of any issues.
Some aircraft noise is a fact of life in the inner west of Sydney. There's a curfew on plane movements from about 11pm to 630am, and residents of this great neighbourhood consider it a small price to pay for living in such a vibrant, diverse and convenient area.
However if you're from country areas where nights are totally silent it may be worth wearing earplugs for the first night or two if you plan to sleep late.
Please no smoking inside, parties or pets.
You're welcome to read any of the books you'd like but please don't take them with you!
Please respect neighbours and keep noise down between 10pm and 10am.
