Wide and sunny, the Jazz Room is one of 4 bedrooms available at this historic house with a notable tradition in Arts and Culture. Combining modern amenities and vintage charm, it's located in the very heart of Aveiro.
The balcony faces a small park and the street is very peaceful. Aveiro's Museum is right across the street, everything worth visiting is at walking distance and Aveiro’s stunning beaches are just a 10 minutes drive.
Did we mention there's a cinema in the basement?
You’ll love the Jazz Room, a large, pleasant and sunny bedroom that combines modern amenities with vintage charm. It is one of the 4 private bedrooms available on the 2nd floor of the Aveiro Arts House, each one dedicated to a different artistic process — Projects, Inspiration (Jazz), Sketch and Alchemy.
Former home of the multifaceted artist Vasco Branco, the Aveiro Arts House is an historic house with a notable tradition regarding Arts and Culture. There is even a small private cinema auditorium in the basement, equipped with 40 seats, mini-bar and projection booth, which you can visit on demand.
Besides your Bedroom and the two available WCs, you have free access to the Kitchen (which is fully equipped for cooking breakfast, tea and snacks), to our shared Coworking space, and to our lovely Sunroom.
We’ve prepared a guide with directions to all our favourite places to visit, eat and shop in and around Aveiro and, whenever possible, we’ll be thrilled to show you around ourselves.
You can usually reach us on the ground floor or in the attic of the house, or by phone. In case we’re out of town, there’s always someone around to help you out and to ensure that you make the most out of your stay!
You’re also welcome to attend the exclusive events we occasionally host in the auditorium, such as movie projections, small concerts, poetry readings or wine tastings.

Travel writer and sound artist, I'm co-founder of Portugal’s main events guide, so I’ll be able to help you find great activities to enjoy during your stay. Although I am originally from Porto, I’ve lived in many cities around Portugal, Spain, England and Mexico.
I recently moved to the beautiful town of Aveiro in order to rehabilitate my grandparent's house, which has a great tradition regarding arts and culture. My grandfather was a well-respected cinema director, writer, painter and potter, and the house even has a lovely cinema in the basement, with 40 seats, a mini-bar and a projection booth.
Passionate about Aveiro (often referred to as the Portuguese Venice) and its gorgeous river canals, delicious seafood restaurants, exquisite regional pastry and incredibly sunny beaches, me and my team love to travel and to meet new people, and we're looking forward to host you at our unique house!
