A light and large private double room for one or two guests in a creative home in the heart of Sherwood, near shops, cafes, pubs and a park. Walking distance or a short bus ride to Nottingham city centre.
The room includes a double bed, desk, armchair, chest of drawers, shelves and mirror. There is a shared kitchen-dining room, garden, bathroom with bath/shower and separate toilet. There is free parking and a gated side entrance for bicycles.
The bedding and towels are provided with the room, and if you are staying longer we will change these.
There is a very good wifi connection.
The kitchen has a gas oven, grill and stove, fridge, kettle, toaster, blender (for smoothies/juices). You can help yourselves to tea, coffee, milk and cereal, and use the fridge and cooking facilities to self-cater.
You can use the washing machine, clothes drying-rack, iron and ironing board.
We don't own a TV, but have plenty of books you are welcome to read, and we can suggest interesting places to explore in and around Nottingham.
The house is characterful, with an eclectic collection of artwork and vintage furniture. The room is a private double room in our home and you are welcome to use the shared spaces in the house; bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and garden.
We are a friendly household; two artist/lecturers. We will arrange to meet guests at the house on arrival (times fairly flexible, agreed after booking) to show you the house and give you your keys. We're happy to help you get settled here if you need us to point you to the nearest shops, cafes/bars and bus stop.
If you are working or studying in the city, you can easily access the city centre, University's, Hospitals etc by bus, car, bike or tram.
- Couples allowed
- Smoking allowed in garden only
- Be respectful with noise if returning after 11pm

I am an artist and University lecturer, now based in the creative city of Nottingham UK after many years of travelling around.
I have always enjoyed hosting friends in my home, and have become a host on Airbnb with my parter as we have a lovely spare room, and think people would enjoy our home and neighbourhood when visiting Nottingham for work, study or on holiday.
I enjoy galleries and festivals, cooking and socialising, cafes and pubs. I love travelling, finding rural retreats as well as the cafe cultures of cities like Paris, Berlin and Copenhagen.
I have had some great experiences as a guest with Airbnb and am happy to also now be a host in my home.
