Brand new condo with mostly everything you will need.It is conveniently located in downtown Cochrane and is walking distance to everything. You even have a balcony view of the rodeo grounds. Each room has a queen bed with quality linens and pillows. There is a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and parking included. There is basic cable, Internet WiFi, a DVR, and a Roku. You can log into your own Canadian Netflix account. (US ones don't work.)
Super conveniently located in the downtown area. Walking distance to everything. Quiet, clean building and super clean condo.
Please note that there are 3 buildings in this development. My building is located straight ahead and to the right as you enter the driveway. It is called the 3000 building. (The 1000 and 2000 buildings are off to the left.)
My condo is extremely clean and I would like it to stay that way, so I don't allow anyone to wear outdoor shoes past the entry. The condo is fully carpeted except the bathroom, kitchen, and storage.
Not really a great space for kids and pets are not allowed. There is also no smoking allowed, not even on the balcony. Sorry. Last but not least, there is no ski equipment, hockey equipment, or any kind of equipment allowed inside! We are very strict about that.
Please let me know in advance what time you will arrive at the condo. Someone will meet you at the front of the 3000 building with the keys.
Let me know what time you will depart and either someone will meet you to pick up the keys. The other option is to lock the door ONLY after you have removed your vehicle from the underground parking garage and returned the garage door opener to the inside of the unit (in the bowl on the table. After you have all of your things out of the unit, lock the door with the key and push the keys under the door to the inside of the unit. The reason is that you need the keys to lock the door from the outside. If no one is there to meet you when you leave, just push the keys well under the door after you lock it. Thanks.
Please note that there is a $200 security deposit to ensure that the keys and the garage door opener are returned to the inside of the unit when you leave. Your security deposit is returned if you follow the rules and leave the unit as you found it.
Please note that the unit has two queen size beds.
Depending on when you are here, I may or may not be available in person. If I am not, someone else will be.
PARKING: Please note that there is limited guest parking and guests may not park there for longer than 48 hours. These guest only spaces are designated by "Visitor Only" signs. They are located on either side of the front door. There is also handicapped parking located there, but do not park there unless you have the designated handicap placard displayed in your vehicle.
There are two parking spaces that go with my unit:
The first parking space that goes with my unit is #126 and is located on the right side next to the entrance beside the fence as you drive in the complex. There is a second space (#288) that goes with my unit and it is located underground of the 3000 building. You will need the garage door opener to get in. It is located inside the unit in a bowl on the table. You will also need the garage door opener to get out of the garage as well, so after you get your car out, please be sure to return the garage door opener back to the unit before you leave at the end of your stay. There is a $200 fee if you do not return the garage door opener upon your departure.
Please pay attention if there are any notices posted in or by the elevator regarding parking. Sometimes, the snow plow will come for snow removal and all vehicles must be removed from the parking lot. There may also be a cleaning of the underground garage, and you may not park inside during this time. Failure to move your vehicle at the designated times may result in being fined and towed. If you need to park elsewhere during any cleaning, let me know and I will tell you where you can park temporarily.
The unit door is self-closing. Open it almost all the way and let it go. It will close securely by itself.
WINDOWS: Please note that the windows do not open more than about 6 inches. This is Alberta's building and safety code to keep people from falling out of windows. Please do not disable or tamper with this feature even if you do not have children in the unit. Although there is no AC in the unit, it does not get too hot, and there are two fans for your convenience.
KITCHEN and GARBAGE: Please do not dispose of oil, grease, coffee grounds, tea or tea leaves, onions, garlic, bones, rice, potato peels, fruit pits, stinky foods, fish, or meat in the sink drain. Put all waste into the garbage and take out the garbage daily. The garbage dumpsters are located in the building in the center of the parking lot "Muster Point". To enter the building, press 3 & 5 at the same, then press 4, and the door will be open. Please respect the garbage rules posted.
Please clean up after yourself. Wipe dry the counters and faucets after each use, wipe up the floor if you spill or drop anything. Always cover your food while using the frying pans with the lids provided and use the microwave safe cover to cover any foods you heat up in the microwave. Also never leave open or uncovered food in the fridge. Cover it with wrap or put it in a sealed container.
Please note that the cupboards are self-closing. Don't force them.
LAUNDRY: Make sure you clean the dryer lint filter after each use. After using the washing machine, do not close the door all the way. It needs to dry out to prevent mildew. Also, please attach or fasten jean buttons, snaps, bras, etc. to prevent them from getting tangled or caught
BATHROOM: Clean up after yourself. Dry the water on the sink counter and around the faucets. Use the fan while you are showering or bathing.
TV: To turn on the TV, use the top center button on the Shaw remote. There is basic cable, a DVR with some DVDS, and a Roku Classic if you want to access your own Canadian Netflix account. US accounts are inaccessible. To change from TV to DVR or Roku, use the TV remote and change the input to component for the DVR or HDMI 2 for the Roku (Netflix).
- Quiet hours 9 pm to 8 am. No shoes inside. Remove your shoes and leave them in the closet at the front door.
