Situated on historic Dorp Street in the core of the oldest part of Stellenbosch, the first floor apartment is within walking distance of excellent restaurants and coffee shops, all the major museums, art galleries and theatres. It is central to the famous Cape Winelands, an easy 45 minute drive from Cape Town International Airport and 1 hour from the Cape Town Waterfront.
The apartment's hardwood floors and generously sized bedroom and living areas are characteristic of Stellenbosch's older apartments, while the fully remodeled kitchen and bathroom make it a lovely modern home!
-Bedroom: includes a queen size bed, closet with hanging and shelf space, dressing table/desk.
-Lounge and dining area: open plan, light, with a large antique couch. Dining table for four, should you choose to dine inside.
-Kitchen: well equipped as I am an avid cook. I can (almost) guarantee that you will have all of the essentials!
-Bathroom: includes a shower, toilet and wash basin. No bath.
-Please note: Unfortunately no washing machine and dishwasher available.
The large balcony runs the entire length of the apartment (about 21 sqm) and may be accessed from the bedroom or lounge. The shade of the surrounding oak trees and bustle of the street below provide a lovely ambience. It is equipped with a large dining table perfect for dinner or sundowners on a warm evening. For peace of mind and privacy, the entire street facing side of the apartment (bedroom and lounge) may be closed off and locked with plantation blinds.
The apartment is used as a home when not occupied by guests. It is thus well-equipped and maintained.
You will have full access to the apartment. This includes the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, lounge and dining area, balcony, and secure single parking bay.
Access to the building is restricted by a minimum of two pedestrian/vehicle gates per point of entry, with an additional gate at the apartment's front door. All windows are fitted with burglar bars. An evening security guard will be on duty.
I will greet you upon arrival, give you a quick tour, and answer any questions you may have. Only you will have access to the apartment during your stay, unless otherwise requested. I live and work close by, and will be at hand should you require any further assistance.
A cleaner may be arranged during longer stays if requested.
