I have been renovating the house since 2013 and am excited to share with you this work of art in progress. I have installed things like a real oak wood flooring in the master bedroom, metal roofing, rain barrel, outdoor shower and outdoor sink, fire ring, etc etc. The location is perfect in a charismatic old Fl neighborhood and nearby downtown, a yoga studio, brewery (BOG), raw vegan restaurant (Present Moment), shopping are all super close. You'll enjoy my eccentric home full of character!
The mid room is super cozy with a sweet bed but is much smaller than the master bedroom which is also available on airbnb if you want to rent out one or both spaces.
You have access to the full kitchen and laundry. You may also utilize any edible plants in the yard if you know what they are and dont overharvest.
If you definitely want me to be there, I will need to coordinate with you to ensure of my presence. I also have a 20 acre permaculture farm inland that I spend a good amount of time at (FYI). I will occassionally bring harvests from my homestead to the house.
There will be clean bedding for you in your room. Help yourself to any tea in the kitchen (coffee is in the freezer) and there is a labelled communal shelf for some food basics! If you do want me to cook any meals for you, I can arrange for this.
The house is not "child proof" with regular electrical outlets. Please recycle. If you know of what greens and fruit to munch on, you are welcome to do so in the edible yard.

Hello friends! I have travelled in the Middle East, Far East, Africa, Central and S. America and each journey has many stories! I love nature and meeting people from different cultures. I also love world music and diversity of foods. I also have a 20 acre organic permaculture farm (Finca Mycol) inland where I do ecological restoration and food forest establishment. I also love art and the caretakers of the house Christiana and Chase are both artists. I have worked as an environmental scientist and irregularly teach ethnobotany and mycology. I also play acoustic stringed instruments (guitar, charango, ukele) and some percussion (djembe, balafon, spoons etc). I hope to share stories with you here at my historic home! I am easy going and will help guide you on your visit here in St Augustine. You can learn of the many food plants in the yard here that you may cook with if you like…mi casa es su casa! We have chives, cuban oregano, moringa, katuk, chaya, mango, pink grapefruit, muscadine grape, pineapples, papaya, rosemary, fig, white sapote, mulberry, avocado, turmeric, and sugar cane all in our quaint yard. We also have a few hens (no roosters) in a coop in the back where you can have a fresh egg or two! Yo hablo espanol mas o menos por un gringo! Please come and stay and enjoy!
