We offer flexible checkin & checkout times however where we have guests coming or leaving the same day we may apply usual checkin times after 14:00 and checkout times before 11:00

We can offer late checkin but needs to be pre-arranged at least 3 days before arrival.
Late check-in option is available for guests arriving after 8pm but it is chargeable at £20 for all check-ins between 8pm and 10pm. If the check-in takes place after 10pm & before 9am then the fee is £45 for the service.
Extra checkin fees will need to be paid in advance.

If your arrival time is delayed beyond 1 hour then please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate the delay however we may need to re-arrange the checkin time or for you to collect the keys from us if we have other pre-arranged commitments.

Lost keys or getting locked out – £50.00 for replacement or getting you back in the property if you have locked yourself out.

Very close to bus station and Bermondsey undergroud station! The home is lovely and quiet.

The 1-rm apartment was perfect with a living room, kitchen room and toilet separated. However prior to my arrival date, I was told that someone would be there to meet me but at the same time told me the keys location. I thought I read wrong but ended up I check-in myself - which was fine as her instructions were pretty easy to locate the key. Directions to the place were insufficient, so I'd suggest to use (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps. Additionally, the apartment is pretty secluded, so advise upon arrival to London, to purchase Oyster travel card at the nearest train station or where possible. Else the nearest selling place to the apartment is beside KFC (15mins Walk from apartment). It's residential area so there's supermarket nearby. However, to central London you'll need to take a bus (~20mins). Thus the need for Oyster card. I was in contact with Veronica prior to arriving, on my flight details, and she informed me of the owner returning home during my stay. I was fine with it. What disappointed me was the toilet bowl was not usable and she had to get a plumber to fix it the next day (so I had to leave a set of keys behind). I thought it was the end. But after the toilet bowl was fixed, the lights to the toilet went out the next day. I tried contacting Veronica to fix it but no response. Fyi the toilet has no windows etc, so when there's no light it's dark. (Previous review had the same issue with the toilet light). To prevent accident (floor is slippery when exiting the bathtub after shower), we took the living room lamp to the toilet door to shine some light in. Other than that, the apartment was great stay, and cleaner cleaned the place prior to my stay.

I completely agree with Jeff's review in May 2017. I also had very mixed feeling at Veronica's flat there. I stayed with my colleague for business trip. Positive: Veronica is super friendly, responsive, kind and nice landlady. She's willing to help us and give proper advice to us. The location is very convenient if you go to East London. The bus 78/21 goes to Tower of London area within 30 mins. The bus stop is 5-8 min walk from the flat. The area is very quiet residential area where you can feel safe. They have everything at the flat, clean and plenty of towels, hairdryer, body shampoo, shampoo, toilet rolls and all kinds of kitchen stuff. Negative: The toilet was broken, which means we couldn't flush the toilet. We had to use a bucket to flush water every single time. Some water was leaking from the bottom of the toilet. We found a leftover paper with some obvious stains in the toilet. Although she was willing to help and sent a plumber to the flat, the toilet had been broken even when we left there. Toilet is a basic facility everyone needs to use. It was unfortunate she didn't check before our check-in. Also the room was a bit smelly with dust and smoking. When we used the ventilator, the air was full of smoking smell. There were some dust on the floor which was very obvious as soon as we checked in. We were very suspicious of the cleaning if the cleaner came to the flat and did their job properly. As Jeff mentioned, I wish our comments helped the flat to make nicer and cleaner. The flat itself is nice in the good location and the landlady is super friendly. It's been over a month since Jeff made the comments. Hope Veronica fix some of the problems we mentioned for the next guests.

Unfortunately the toilet really was broken and needed replacement, this was not a quick fix as it needed a new toilet ordered and installed which has now been done. The flat is being professionally cleaned so this should ensure its clean for guests. Thanks Veronica

Very nice stay. Veronica was very responsive. The room is a good 20 minute walk from the train station but there is a bus stop less than 5 minutes away. We stayed during a very rare heatwave and my understanding is most UK flats do not have air conditioning but there was no fan as well. Good choice if your looking for an option close to neighborhood pubs and accessible to London's very good public transport system.

Our experience at veronica's flat was very mixed The positive aspects were : The two nice fresh flower's bouquets All products needed were here The neighborhood was very quiet And the flat is near to the bus station and the supermarket The negative points were : First feeling when incoming was disappointing because of the trace of painting (wall painting) everywhere : on the curtains , the switchers, the floor, etc... , the lining of the seat is falling down...the flowers was beautifull but the smell was too strong. (Mix of flowers and probably smoke) Two drawers were broken (in the kitchen and in the room) So it's not dramatical but we expected much better when we looked at the pictures But what really boring us was that there wasn't any light in the bathroom. Neither the ceiling lamp nor the mirror lamp worked. We told it to the host who answer us that she will contact someone but the lights weren't fixed when we left. Just to be clear, there was no window in the bathroom. So it was either the door closed but in the dark, or with a little light but with the door open. By the way, the WC was in the bathroom... Meanwhile the cleaning is a little bit expensive, the flat cleaning wasn't perfect The mattress was inclinated (window side) and not very comfortable. We wasn't able to use the tv (probably because of the remote control battery) When we saw the pictures we were very enthusiast (perhaps too much) but finally we were disappointing when incoming. It's a pity, it would not take much so that it can be nice. Hoping our comments will help the host to adjust her flat for the next guests.
