The heritage town of St Just is a great base to explore the magical landscape of West Cornwall. The magnificent coastline is breathtaking and a real joy for walkers, cyclists, surfers and beach lovers.
My small house has a laid back, bohemian quality. You're invited to make yourself at home. I'm a surfer (beginners lessons available), who enjoys T'ai chi, yoga, reading, music and vegetarian cookery. I look forward to meeting you and making you welcome.
Situated within a quiet terraced street in the small, friendly town, this ex-miners cottage built around 1870 has plenty of antique charm and original features which blend with a quirky mix of up-cycled and original decor.
Come in, find your room, put your bags down and enjoy.
The bedrooms are cosy, private spaces where you can close the door, relax and get a good nights sleep. I can accommodate three people in shared or separate rooms. Its your choice.
The clean and spacious bathroom has everything, shower, basin, wc, mirror, pot-plant.
The kitchen; informal, easy to use and functional.
The lounge is equally lovely drenched in the morning sun* or watching twilight fade over the front garden.
The back garden is a vibrant green space in which to enjoy breakfast and prepare for your day. In the afternoon it gets as hot as an oven, ideal for sunbathing*.
* Unfortunately I cannot guarantee sunshine :-)
You have access to the entire house and garden. As my guest, you will be welcome to use the space as your home. Feel free to come and go as you please. After a busy day being blown away by the stunning scenery it's good to know that a comfortable, safe, friendly home awaits, where you can rest and prepare for tomorrow. If you're happy, I'm happy.
The house is small and cosy. I am happy to share my local knowledge so you can find the best spots (and avoid the worst) and if you want to spend some time over coffee talking about life in general I'm happy with that too.
There are some low ceilings and beams in parts of the house, particularly as you approach the kitchen. Please mind your head.
The kitchen is available if you need to prepare meals, packed lunches or breakfast. I can provide muesli, toast, tea and coffee. Please leave the kitchen as you found it and don't start cooking close to bedtime. I am vegetarian and would ask you not to bring meat into the house.
I am a friendly, warm person. I enjoy keeping fit, reading, relaxing, cooking vegetarian meals, fresh air and sunshine. I have travelled. I work locally. I practice T'ai Chi and Yoga. I have sailed across the Atlantic. I have lovely daughter who is currently at university.
As my guest you will be welcome to use the house like your home and come and go as you choose.
