Hi friends! I can't wait to meet you and welcome you to your wonderful home-away-from-home in beautiful Guanajuato!
As detailed in the title, this is a genuine Bed & Breakfast, so a delicious and nutritious homemade (veggie or vegan) breakfast is included daily in your stay!
I also offer a host of à la carte activities for a small extra fee (detailed below) so you can maximize your experience here.
Guanajuato is one of the best places on earth, and I look forward to sharing it with you! :)
Casa Granada Bed & Breakfast, named after the beautiful Pomegranate tree that adorns the entry, is located halfway between Teatro Juarez downtown and El Pípila Monument at the top of the hill, so you'll need to be in good enough condition to climb some stairs! :)
Or, if you'd rather, you can pay 25 pesos (roughly $1.40 USD / €1.20 Euro) to ride the gondola to the top, and then walk about halfway down.
Once you arrive, you'll be welcomed with a homemade snack and a refreshing beverage of your choice: an ice cold local craft beer, glass of wine or a freshly brewed mint or basil sun tea. Relax on the patio and enjoy the breathtaking views while you make yourself at home!
Your bedroom and private bath are near the entry, and you'll be given your own key when you arrive, so please feel free to come and go anytime you'd like. The entire house is open to you!
In your private room overlooking the garden you'll find fresh flowers, a queen size bed and freshly laundered flannel sheets (extra blankets are available upon request), 2 soft and 2 firm hypoallergenic pillows, a handmade wool bed-side rug, a large closet (featuring 2 complimentary bathrobes, plus hangers for your clothes and space to store your luggage), a sturdy desk and chair, and artisanal chocolate truffles! ;)
Your private bathroom includes a large and steamy rain shower, plenty of thick, fluffy new towels, all-natural, locally-made artisanal soaps and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and toiletries.
Around the house you'll find numerous indoor and outdoor spaces for reading, writing, playing music, sun bathing, etc. I have an acoustic Fender here that you're welcome to use as well!
The back patio, with its cobalt Mexican tile fountain, bourgeoning succulent garden, and vibrant, eastern-facing city views, is perfect for sunrise yoga or meditation. Yoga mats, a yoga block and a meditation pillow are included for free in your stay.
Weather permitting, the back patio is also where you'll be enjoying your breakfast in the morning. All breakfasts are prepared vegetarian (or vegan upon request) with the freshest seasonal ingredients, and include:
Locally Roasted (French Press) Coffee or Tea
Fresh Squeezed Juice (orange, green, carrot, beet, mango, or guayaba)

The entire house is yours to enjoy! Please make yourself at home.
I'm happy to socialize or give you space as needed. Bed & Breakfasts are, by nature, more personal. So I'm looking forward to getting to know you a bit and sharing a few laughs. I'm in and out of the house quite a bit so there's a good chance you'll have it all to yourself at least a few hours a day. If there's anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable, please don't hesitate to ask!
Speaking of dogs (in the concierge activities list)! I have 3 (internationally born knuckleheads) who live on the property as well and will be very excited to greet you... and then promptly go back to sleep (which is their primary activity for about 22 hours a day!). So dog lovers are a must!
That said, no dogs are ever allowed in your room so you can be rest assured it will be dander and dirty paw free!
**Lastly, breakfast-free bookings are available for a discounted rate if you love the space but would rather eat out! Just ask!**

Thanks for checking out my properties, I hope you'll come to stay!
A little about me: I'm a 38 year old professional photographer, traveler and serial entrepreneur. I've Sailed from Panama to Fiji over 7 months and solo cycled New Zealand and Australia for 6. I spent 4 weeks on a spiritual hermitage in India, trekked around Europe a bit, bushwhacked around the jungles of Panama treasure hunting 16th century Spanish artifacts, and have fallen in love with Cuba, twice.
I recently lived in Costa Rica for 18 months but now live in Guanajuato, Mexico, developing several businesses.
My life motto is, 'What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?' And I'd eat guacamole or hummus every day if at all humanly possible! :)
I lived in Chicago for 9 years, and I've lived in Guanajuato now for the past 9 months, so I'm happy to recommend all the best bars, restaurants and activities (and tourist traps to avoid). I love giving local advice so please feel free to ask!
And if ever you need anything, I'm always just a quick call, text or email away!
I hope you enjoy your visit to Chi or GTO, and I look forward to sharing my homes with you!
