1. Sam clearly the guests reading this will immediately know you're not being honest in your review. The pictures alone show that there is a bed, table, chair, bookcase with books and magazine for guests to read. They will also see an iron, umbrella, extra blanket and blowdryer along with lint brushes. Many guests have expressed how many essential amenities I offer for use. When in reality most hosts don't offer or even have too.
Not sure what you were expecting in the room, video games? Definitely don't offer that.
You are booking a room NOT the entire apartment. In the future, if you're looking to use the entire apartment it's best you book the entire apartment and not a room for 3 people.
2. Airbnb confirmed that the guest Candice that left a comment below you, had just checked out hours before you guys checked in and her guests used the air mattress and it was in perfect condition. The air mattress was brand new. We already know you damaged it. Which is why you had to pay for it directly to Airbnb. I was kind enough to tell you I contacted Airbnb once I realized you damaged it, while you were still staying in the apartment.
You and your guests were told very clearly that the kitchen was not available to use due to another guest like yourself that damaged the stove and it had to be replaced.
3. It is written very clearly in my house rules manual that the CITY COUNCIL of NY has officially ruled against Airbnb. While there is still a huge legal battle, the building management has asked every host in the building to make it clear to the guest not to mention Airbnb. This very common for host to ask guests ESPECIALLY in NYC. Most frequent Airbnb guests/travelers already know the drill.
4. Lastly you didn't follow any of the house rules which is why you wrote what you wrote. If I was such a bad host or apartment in such horrid conditions everyone would have already mentioned that. I can't control the fact that you did NOT read my profile or had expectations of drinking and partying in the living room with your guests. I made that clear to you, that is NOT allowed in the apartment now or ever. This is my apartment and I like all my guests to feel safe and at peace.
You should however be grateful that you stood in the safest and most expensive neighborhood of NYC and in a safe apartment.
