As is common in Polruan Daisy Cottage is an 'upside down house' recently refurbished for a family of 4 over 3 floors with the lounge at the top making the most of the stunning river views. Conveniently situated to take advantage of all the village amenities Daisy Cottage is very much in the centre of village life, only a few, short level paces from the beach, pub and shop.
You enter the cottage to find yourself in a snug parlour, electric fire in the hearth and entrance to the bathroom, uncommonly spacious the bathroom is fully tiled, with modern fittings. The washing machine is also housed in a cupboard on this level.
Head upstairs to find the main bedroom spacious and bright. On the same floor with ingenious use of space a bunk room for the children means that the little ones are never too far away. Dominating the 3rd floor is the lounge, a large living area well furnished with the unique selling point of the wonderful view of the river and quayside. The lounge is equipped with T.V, DVD for entertainment and is the perfect place to loose yourself in a book, take in the view and relax.
Opposite the lounge is the kitchen diner all freshly decorated and well equipped to prepare some of the superb local produce, with garden views from the windows. WIFI is available.
There is a new electric central heating system making it an ideal winter getaway property.

Arrival and Key collection- You are welcome to collect your cottage keys from our office in Polruan. We are situated just across the road from the cottage, at 1 Fowey View. We are the cottage with the white stable door and grey railing outside. Keys are available from 4.00pm onwards
We are based right in the heart of the village. Our office is open Monday - Saturday 9:30am - 5:30pm ish (ferry dependent). You are more then welcome to pop in throughout your stay. Any questions you may have we are more then happy to answer... we will get the kettle on!
We would like to point that the cottage like many cottages in the area are traditional Cornish cottages and while they display wonderful charm and character, they can also suffer from dampness due to the coastal climate. This will benefit greatly from the having a window left open a fraction to create some ventilation.
Area - The village is situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village is difficult. Please give us a call to discuss your selection particularly if your party includes elderly or anyone who would have difficulty breathing. Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages are accessed via steps some of which can be steep which could also be difficult for elderly or younger children and anyone in a wheelchair. There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars. As The Old Bakery is right in the middle of a seaside village and the cottage is located so close to the beach there is of course noise from the seagulls throughout the day. As Polruan is a working village with a working boat yard, there could be a small amount of traffic noise from fore street as it is the main access road into Polruan.
Parking in Polruan, there are 3 car parks in Polruan. The Quay carpark and the main St Saviours car park would be the 2 closest to the cottage about a 5 minute walk away. Both car parks are £25.00 for a weekly ticket or £5.00 per day. The quay carpark is a lot smaller with only about 11 spaces, so if you were to take your car out for the day you’re not always guaranteed that same space back. The main St Saviours car park is manned throughout the day with an overflow facility. Sadly you cannot pre book any spaces.
Higher up in the village there is a free car park roughly about a 15-20 minute walk from your cottage, which if you weren’t planning on using your car much, it could be a suitable option.
- Dogs are not allowed on any furniture or to be left in the cottage alone. Please pick up after your dog while in the cottage and in the village
-There is an additional £20 pet charge per dog.
Hello, I'm Abigail I work along side my mother Jane, at Polruan Cottages a small Family run Holiday letting agency based in the village of Polruan, Cornwall. A small unspoilt village surrounded by water on three sides. I could not live without handbags, good food, books, the odd glass of good wine or my car....There are a lot of hills in Cornwall and plenty of beautiful coastline to discover.
