A traditional Edinburgh tenement flat on the top floor, it has all the features you would expect including high ceilings, wooden floors and is bright, airy and has a relaxed atmosphere. It's located in the main hub of Leith about halfway down Leith Walk. There are many interesting bars and restaurants just a stone's throw away as well as convenience stores and a main bus route. It is ideally located only a 20 minute leisurely walk into town via Waverley train station.
Comprises two rooms, hall and a bathroom. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. Since I also use the space as an art studio, you might find some interesting objects and pictures on the walls! There is a loft bed, which I sleep on when I'm there, but for guests I have provided a comfy standard double and a 3-seater futon sofa bed.
There is a large kitchen/dining room which has a somewhat makeshift feel to it like something akin to a bothy. There is a very large table which can probably seat up to 8 people and an additional table which I use as a breakfast bar kinda thing. Everything is artfully decorated and is very much a work in-progress. The bedroom located at the back is cosy and quiet with one double bed and one 3-seater sofa bed. It gets a lot of sunlight, as does the small bathroom.
I invite guests to contact me at any point (within reason!) of their stay and am happy to help with anything from issues in the flat to recommending places to visit. If it's urgent, it's best to call me on my mobile, but otherwise a text or email will do.
