Our fully restored and equipped 1952 vintage "silver beauty" camper is located on a beautiful mountainside with a private deck, grill, nature trail, and fire pit just 20 minutes from downtown AVL and 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Come get away from it all at a beautiful glampsite just a short distance from the best hiking and views in the area! This comfortable camper has a kitchenette, toilet, and shower with hot water. It's perfect for a solo traveler or couple.

We offer a unique "glamping" experience where you can get away from it all in a beautifully restored and comfortable vintage camper "tiny home." It features all you need: a double bed, a kitchenette, and a bathroom with a flush toilet and hot shower. You also have access to a nature trail, picnic area, and fire pit on the property. Relax in a hammock under the trees and stars, grill out, and retire to your very own vintage camper with all the modern amenities!

Trail, fire pit, picnic area

We live next door to the camper and mostly keep to ourselves but are generally available should you need anything.

The firm double bed is perfect for a single person or couple. The couch in the living area folds out into another firm bed kids could sleep on. The inside of the camper is well-designed and feels pretty spacious (considering that it's only 172 square feet!) but it would be a tight fit for 4 adults and is not recommended. To make the most of your tiny home experience, we recommend that you unpack and put your suitcases away... there is a ton of storage! Also, please remove your shoes upon entering and put them in the "shoe" box to the right of the door.

The kitchenette includes a full-size fridge, two-burner electric hot plate, microwave, electric kettle, and sink. It is fully stocked with plates, cups, silverware, cookware, etc.

As mentioned, there is hot water. However, the hot water tank is small and will only allow for a 2-3 minute hot shower. To make the most of your shower time, we suggest that you turn the water off while you are applying soap, shampoo, etc., and then turn it back on to rinse off. The tank does heat up again pretty quickly, so another person can take a shower fairly soon afterward.

Please note that due to the mild summers of our high-altitude mountain setting, there is no air conditioning in the camper. We encourage you to open the doors and windows to let in the fresh mountain breeze. The indoor temperature is usually in the high 60s/low 70s, but in the heat of the day during the hottest days of summer the inside temperature indoors may reach the mid-70s. If you are one of those people that needs a very consistently cold, closed, AC environment to be comfortable then this may not be the place for you.

Also please note that we are environmentalists that strive to live in harmony with our woods and therefore do not spray for bugs. Luckily we don't have any roaches but you may see an occasional harmless ladybug or moth inside or outside the camper. If this is a problem for you then you might want to look somewhere else.

Part of the road leading to our house and driveway is gravel. If you are not used to driving in the mountains then it might be kind of an adventure the first time but no one has ever had a problem reaching our house. We drive a small car and an AWD/4WD is definitely not necessary unless there is snow on the ground. That said, our driveway is a little steep and we recently discovered that it can be difficult for rear-wheel drive vehicles (some sportscars and pickup trucks) to back out. If you drive a RWD car please let us know in advance and we will make sure you have room to turn around in the driveway so that you will not have to back out. Also please note that there is parking for ONE CAR ONLY.

The only cell carrier that seems to get consistent service in our area is Verizon. There is wifi but due to the metal siding sometimes the signal is not very strong inside the camper and you might need to step outside to get a good signal.

Please note that we do live right next door with children and dogs so some noise is inevitable. We do our best to be quiet and respectful but if you need complete and total silence then this might not be the place for you.

The location of the camper was incredible! Very close to lots of great trails and only a short drive to Asheville. The camper was very clean and had plenty of room.

Location location location. The spot up on the mountain side can't be beat. There's hiking nearby and Weaverville is close enough to not be left out wanting anything. Kristen was super easy to communicate with and the tiny home* was perfect. Was there enough room?? We were in town for a wedding and had more than enough space for tuxedos and lady's prep.

The camper is a delightful getaway! My partner and I loved spending time there just as much as we did in downtown Asheville!

Kristen was amazing and so was this little camper! Very quaint. Perfect for two. Our stay couldn't have been more perfect. You are minutes away from beautiful views on the Blue Ridge Parkway and about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. The place was incredibly clean and stocked for us in case we forgot anything. Definitely a secluded spot for those looking for privacy. It's a bit of a drive (about 10-15 mins) from town but your drive is filled with beautiful scenery. We will definitely be booking again!

Kristen and Miguel's airstream was the perfect setting for a weekend getaway! The utilization of space in the airstream was perfect and even as a tall guy (6'7") I was comfortable inside. My girlfriend and I loved enjoying our coffee in the mornings looking towards the mountains on the deck behind the airstream!! We will be back!!
