Our lofty, beautiful flat lies in the heart of Zurich Wipkingen, in walking distance to the river Limmat & numerous cozy cafés & bars. Surrounded by parks & playgrounds, & well connected to the public transport: Airport 15min. Main railway station 10
The main and central living room allows to relax, work concentrated or to enjoy a chat with your fellows as the sun grows fainter. The dining table easily fits up to six people - and yes we built this lamp ourselves and are happy to share the DIY instructions.
On sunny days we recommend to you to brew yourself a strong espresso and enjoy the sun on our balcony - unless you opt for strolling to the Limmat for a swim.
We have a first bathroom including sink, toilett and a bathtub/shower and a second one equipped with a sink and toilett (no bathtub there).
Our rooms all face east therefore we recommend shutting the sun out if you want to sleep in. We invite you to roam our bookshelves and are eager for any recommendations you are willing to share.
We provide Swiss and German plugs and recommend bringing converters for any other plug you might want to make use of.
We have a laundromat & drying room in the cellar you are free to use.
The kitchen is equipped and meant to be used. Tea, coffee and other basics are provided.
We recommend you use our chromecast soundsystem and readily available projector to tune in to your preferred music and watch movies - assuming you have a laptop with you.
Whenever we are travelling we welcome you to enjoy what we proudly call our home. We (probably) won't be there to show you around the city but remain available for any questions you might have. And are happy to recommend our favourite sites in Zurich.
Whether you are here for business or to explore a city we as shared flat have come to love - if you let us know in advance we'll try to give you directions as needed. In any other case just text us at short notice and we'll do our very best to recommend just what you are looking for.
Feel free to smoke on our balcony. But please do not smoke in our beloved home.
Born in Canada, raised in Germany and very much drawn to the Middle East I enjoy getting to know new people & perspectives. I play the Cello and have helped building a successful music festival in Germany. I studied rhetorics, philosophy and Islamic science before turning to business a few years ago and currently work in a big4 consultancy as... well: consultant. Looking forward to getting to know you!
