Welcome to our self-contained two-bedroom loft set in our peaceful garden on edge of town four kilometers from town centre. Easy access to rail trail, mountain bike parks and the Gippland Lakes. Garden is shared with main house occupants, dog, and 3 chickens. Garden and downstairs are wheelchair friendly, bedrooms are accessed via steep, ladder-like stairs which may not suit people with limited mobility. Bicycle hire and a-la-carte vegan meals also available. No smoking and no pets please.
Travelling on your own? Contact us for single or couple discounts prior to booking. IMPORTANT: Please note the stairs to the bedrooms are STEEP! This may make them not suitable for people who have limited mobility or if you have small children who need carrying.
You will have full access to the rear garden; the front garden is reserved for the main house occupants. Parking is on the street. The garden is great for relaxing, reading, watching our three chickens roam (their names are Chilly, Lilly and Billy), and saying hello to our gorgeous rescue greyhound Macey.
The loft sits in the garden of our home. You can have total privacy or enjoy our occasional company, as you like. We can also offer a-la-carte plant-based meals for those with food allergies and who find it difficult to dine in the many gorgeous restraurants and cafes in and around Bairnsdale.
Our place is located in a very quiet part of town with little light pollution, great for star gazing and for those seeking respite from a hectic life.
We kindly ask all our guests to be careful when using the stairs to the bedrooms as they are steep. There is a standard safety rail but no child safety barrier installed at the top of the stairs. Guests with small children may want to bring their own safety barrier.
We'd prefer if our guests do not wear street shoes inside and in upstairs bedrooms.
No food and drinks other than water in bedrooms please.
Please keep front gates shut at all times so neither dog nor chickens have a chance to escape.
Leave no trace. We politely ask our guests to clean up the kitchen after use and to leave the premises as you found it at the start of your stay.
We are Uli and Roo and we enjoy cycling, bush walking, running and kayaking, love cooking and eating anything plant-based, especially produce from our own fruit and vegetable garden, being involved in art and design, travelling, and spending time with our family and friends, our three chickens Chilly, Billy and Lilly and Macey, the ex-racer rescue greyhound.
