Hope is a small historic mining town that has evolved into a outdoor recreation wonderland. With multiple guided and non guided activities in the area, it's a perfect base to explore Alaska's famous Kenai Pensiula. We provide two bikes to explore Hope. Town is about a 3 minute drive or a 10 minute bike ride. There is a bar, cafes, to-go food and coffee shops in town.
The Bus area is located on the front part of our property. Our house is at the back of the property, there is an old unoccupied cabin between - behind this old cabin is off limits.
We are busy with the Alaskan summer so can give you privacy if you would like but we're also just next door and are only a phone call/text message away if you need help, directions or just a chat!
We just like to make people aware that this is an eclectic, vintage bus you're staying in and whilst it is very comfortable staying in this bus it isn't for everyone so please consider this before booking. Some may consider it like "glamping". The bus has running water (which is a luxury in Hope!) - there is no sink in the shower house but there is a sink inside the bus for hand washing or brushing your teeth. The shower house is designed for quick hot showers and has a foot pedal flush toilet. We have a big, friendly white dog who is on the property and always up for belly scratches and ear rubs! Pets welcome for a $10 fee per pet, must be supervised at all times and cleaned up after. If you plan on cooking/eating in please bring your own food.
- Pack'n'Play available.
- This is a local Alaskan neighborhood no big parties allowed.
- No smoking inside bus, smoking permitted outside bus.
- $10 Pet fee
- Shoes off at front of Bus.
- Quiet time after 10pm.
- Our home at the back of the property is off limits, please respect our privacy.
I'm originally from Melbourne, Australia but now live in Alaska with my husband, 2 year old son and big, white, fluffy dog! We run a tour company to the glaciers in Prince William Sound and love showing people this beautiful part of the world. We enjoy a whole range of outdoor activities hiking, mountain biking, skiing but kiteboarding is our passion and we try to kite wherever we go!
