This lovely room is good for parents with a child. It is small for 3 adults but people have been happy with it. Wonderful walks and spaces. A mile from the road the tudor oast is approached by tree lined drive and bridge dividing lakes. Near Hever castle, Chartwell, Penshurst, Lingfield racecourse and Gatwick airport.
The house is a converted 16th Century square Oast where hops were previously dried for processing and brewing beer. The exposed sandstone for the kiln construction was supplied from the long redundant quarry visible from the house. Henry V111 probably hunted deer through the woods while courting Ann Boleyn at Hever. The farmhouse next door has a priest hole to hide in.
Guests are welcome to walk the sheep grazing fields, the ancient woodland with oak, hornbeam, chestnut and beech coppice and also the lakes and nature reserves which are a sanctuary for wild life. There is a garden with seating and views of the North Downs.
Farm life means there is nearly always someone around with good local knowledge and able to help with any inquiries or offer recommendations.
The stairs up are quite steep.
- This home is much loved by all our family so please enjoy it and look after it too.

A very fortunate grandmother of 8. A special needs teacher, farmer and wife - not necessarily all in that order. I love reading and watching films. We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting some very interesting people through Airbnb.
