When you open the door to my home you'll be greeted by tons of natural light, exposed brick and hard-wood floors. I like to keep houseplants to bring nature inside and to help purify the air. I'm drawn to organic, chemical-free cleaners and materials because a healthy, non-toxic space is at the top of my priority list. Located in historic Bedford-Stuyvesant with easy access to Manhattan and many bustling Brooklyn neighborhoods, like Fort Greene, Bushwick and Williamsburg.
* One room in a gorgeous 3-bedroom light-filled apartment in Bedstuy, Brooklyn
* exposed brick + hardwood floors + lots of big windows
* all new appliances + dishwasher
* equidistant from the Flushing or Myrtle JMZ trains (about a 7-minute walk to each)
* Laundromat two doors down
* Beautiful kitchen
* Skylight in bathroom + double sink
* Includes a sweet, old, beautiful cat who is very loved and a part of the household
* The immediate area doesn't have a lot going on but if you walk 7-minutes towards the Myrtle-Broadway JMZ train stop you'll find some fun bars + music venues + organic shops.
* Within walking distance to the Morgan L area of Bushwick (about 20 minutes away)
* Just a few train stops away from bustling Williamsburg + a short bus ride to Fort Greene, Clinton Hill and Bushwick
You'll have full access to the kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom. Please feel free to cook as much as you like and make yourself at home, as long as you clean up and put everything in the dishwasher when you're finished :)
You'll have access to:
Turkish Coffee Maker
Hand-held Citrus Juicer
And many more kitchen accessories.
One of the best parts of living in New York City is the amazing people we meet from all corners of the globe. As your host, I look forward to getting to know you and sharing a cup of tea or glass of wine when time permits.
I moved to New York from Detroit in 2007, so I've had plenty of time to get know many of the different neighborhoods in NYC. If you have questions about the city, then I'll look forward to sharing my knowledge with you. We want you to have the best trip possible!
I have a sweet, old kitty named Tiger. He likes to bird watch and sleep a lot! There's also a chance during your stay that I might be accommodating another airbnb guest in a separate private room. Feel free to check out my other listing in the same home, here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/15984863?preview
Please be clean, tidy and relatively quiet. As noted above, we can only accommodate one guest at a time, so please only book with us if you are traveling alone. Please note we don't allow overnight guests or additional visitors to the apartment. We have a cat, but there are no additional pets allowed.

Hi there! I'm Kim and I've lived in this beautiful apartment for just over a year. I'm excited to be your host in this wonderful city!
I'm an actor and stay pretty busy with film & theater in the city. I'm also a heath & fitness fanatic with a passion for creating a welcoming home.
My Icelandic friend Keli used to live here but now he helps with co-hosting, so there's a chance you might meet him. He's in grad school at New York University. Before moving to the US, he worked as a glacier guide in Iceland. He's very health conscious and loves to cook, rock climb and ride his bike throughout the city.
I'm thrilled to begin my experience as an airbnb host. I think most people would describe me as thoughtful and friendly. I like getting to know my guests with a few chats here and there because that's part of the fun!
Here are 5 things I can't live without:
Pen & Paper
Warm fluffy bath towels
I like to live a life of curiosity, always interested in learning something new. I believe in kindness & gratitude and I definitely believe in miracles.
As an actor I make a point to keep up with what's new in the entertainment world. My most recent netflix obsessions are "Medici: Masters of Florence," "Grace and Frankie," and "The Crown."
At the cinema, I've recently been blown away by La La Land, Manchester by the Sea, and Jackie.
I read a lot of spiritual books and I currently study Kabbalah. As my guest you'll find a ton of books on a variety of topics in the common space and you're welcome to pick one up and enjoy it while you're here.
