Wake up rested in our sun-filled guest room on a quiet street in hip East Austin. The queen bed is topped with a luxurious memory foam mattress. We are located near great bars, venues, restaurants, and coffee shops like the Hard Luck Lounge, Flitch Coffee, Saigon Le Vendeur, Kitty Cohen's Lounge, Kemuri Tatsu-Ya, and Saint Roch's Bar. We are near the 4, 17 & 300 bus routes and a B-Cycle station. Relax in our backyard. We provide breakfast. Parking is easy and there's keyless entry to the home.
Shaded by a giant pecan tree, this little blue house is a respite from the action of East Austin. This is a relaxed and creative space we are delighted to share with our guests. The house is full of original art, books, records, and other media. Feel free to relax in the living room to read, play music (live and/or recorded), or just watch something on our smart TV; we have subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Dogs are welcome to run around the backyard, humans too. We have lounge chairs and a hammock for taking-a-load-off and enjoying the beautiful Texas weather.
Guests have access to the entire house with the exception of the master bedroom. Treat it like it was your home.
Sameer and I are in and out of the house most days. We are available to answer any questions, give recommendation about events, bars, restaurants, etc, or just chat. Between the two of us we speak English, Spanish, and Punjabi.
Austin, East Austin especially, is crisscrossed with train tracks. There is no traffic noise here, just the birds and the wind. However, there is a train that passes by twice a day, and will blow its horn as a safety precaution for 3-5 minutes. We think the long whistle is romantic, but we're transit nerds.
