Summer and fall special for parties of 2 or solo adventurers: book 2 nights and get a 3rd free! This house is located in the Mt. Abram Ski-Slopes Village, walk to the base lodge. Close to hiking trails, mountain biking, boating, fishing and swimming. You’ll love this place because of the fully updated amenities of this classic 1960's mountain get-a-way. Comfy living and sleeping areas with fully updated kitchen, appliances, baths and laundry. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and families.
The first floor features open-concept living/dining and a kitchen that opens on to an elevated deck. The deck gets full sunlight, has seating for 6 and a large gas grill with a side burner. Propane gas is included. Out back is a fire pit and camp wood can be bought at most local stores. There is ample parking for 4 to 6 vehicles.
Also on the first floor is a small, cozy bedroom with a large closet for hanging clothes. A large full bath with walk-in shower. A smaller half bath and a laundry area with full size washer dryer.
Upstairs are two opposing bedrooms. Both with great natural light. One with a queen bed and the other, with four beds, doubles as a great hang out for kids and young adults. All three bedrooms have fans for circulating the great mountain air on warmer nights.
The house, deck and yard are all for guest use. While staying here, the house is for your exclusive use. While the basement is clean and dry, we ask that guests do not enter or use this area, other than to place trash in the bins. The basement is under no circumstances to be used as a play area. There is an external video security system. There are no video cameras or other monitoring devices inside the home.
I am available for area or house information by phone, email or text (preferred). In the event of an emergency or building conundrum, I am 10 minutes away.
There is a boat ramp 1 1/2 miles from the house and kayak rental across the street at "The Local Hub" restaurant and store. Both give you access to three interconnected lakes with great swimming, fishing and boating. Directions to the Greenwood Town Beach are posted in the house, as are directions to the Greenwood Ice Caves. Bring flashlights if you want to visit the Ice Caves, where you can spend a few hours exploring the dozen or so caves.
Hiking and mountain biking are allowed in the summer at Mt. Abram Ski Slopes. Skiing, snowboarding and tubing in the winter. Drive or walk to either base lodge from the house. You can find mountain biking and zip-lining 15 minutes away at Sunday River Ski Way and winter sports and family or adult entertainment in the winter.
