Gorgeous urban recreation in 64 acre High Park. 5 min walk to Bloor West Village or trendy Junction neighbourhood. 10 min walk to Roncesvalles. This is a trendy split level town home located centrally- close to downtown and right on the subway (High Park Line 2). Friendly family home shared with Canadian/Brits who have hosted many international students. We prefer long term guests staying an academic term or longer but we are flexible. Our home has a warm atmosphere with a lovely indoor cat and a young person (mostly) away at uni. We only have one guest room so you will be the only student.
You have a large queen bedroom with dresser, study desk, side table, lamps, bedding and towels. There is a large closet as well. On main floor there is a two piece bathroom dedicated to your use and you can leave all your gear in there. In the lower level, there is a TV sitting area and large desk and study area. We share the kitchen, breakfast room and large 2nd bathroom with shower. We have our own two piece bathroom, too. There is a small yard and we are so close to beautiful High Park we always go strolling there. In summer there is an outdoor pool available in our complex.
We love hosting international students and helping them get acquainted with Toronto and southern Ontario. We sometimes cook together and share meals but we like our guests to be independent with meals. We also expect guests to keep their private spaces clean and you are welcome to borrow our cleaning supplies. We keep the rest of the house clean and tidy!
I work at a large university in downtown Toronto. Love to travel and visit other cultures. Likewise, love to host foreigners and learn from them! Toronto is a great city and I am more than happy to advise on culture and travel here at home. My husband and I have traveled all over Ontario and I have seen lots of Canada, so happy to advise on farther afield, too. I am a Harry Potter fanatic and I have been to the theme park and the studio tour and I often visit Hogwarts in my dreams.
